What happened to escort missions etc for new station commissioning?

I seem to remember there being all these comments made by the devs about how there would be loads of new missions when new stations started getting constructed like commissioners visiting and be able to escort and assassinate them etc what happened to those? Is the mission revamp going to start including these sorts of things I wonder? We need more choices of missions than the present majority which are take this there, find this, kill this randomised bloke, kill some pirates?
