I remember during the beta that it was found probably in the option for the staff building that it could be used by entertainers. It was also showcased in the very first trailer of planet zoo, with the guy holding a mic and talking in front of a habitat. I’m just wondering why they didn’t make the cut in the full version cause I think it would have been so cute to have them. Education feels and seems a pretty dull after a while, when all you can put down are some speakers and some screens. It would be cool to have guided tour of the zoo or maybe just for some enclosures if a particular animal is critically endangered or has very interesting behaviour. Just wondering...

Could be like Planet Coaster where some things just weren't ready for release and came later (like security). Time will tell...
Unfortunately, it's not the first time, that a dev's trailer is more polished than the released version...
In the beta, one of the tooltips in the staff room menu had a perk for entertainers, but it has never been confirmed that there will be entertainers at Planet Zoo. PZ is based on Planet Coaster and in the beta version there were a few other lines of text from this game, too. They were used only as placeholders until they were replaced by the correct Planet Zoo versions before release.

Maybe it was never confirmed but someone would expect them when you see them in the very first reveal trailer for a game! Maybe they will add them later with an aquatic DLC...I’m just thinking that maybe with dolphins and seals they would go hand in hand because in many zoos there are entertainers that talk about dolphins etc.
I agree, I love the game but there are so many things that are not working well and are taking away a lot from the experience

Crazy post which is hardly (if at all) related to the OP. I get some things aren't functioning as they probably should but that doesn't mean you should go in numerous threads saying I don't want this/that as they should be spending their time fixing other stuff. It's not very helpful to be honest. It's not a case of either/or, they have a number of teams doing different things you know?

I think there is still a Staff Room upgrade that has to do with guests that interact with guests. As far as I know the only staff members who ever interact with guests are the Vendors. I just assume it was a framework for possible entertainers/educators.
If we do get educators, will they be a whole new staff member or will it be something for our Keepers/Vets to do as a side gig? Vets would be easiest, since they tend to have more downtime. But I can see having to hire an extra Keeper whos job is to educate the guests or even setting up scheduled times when they stand at the podium and lecture about the animals.
