I've logged in several times today and there's only been a couple missions available no matter what stations or system I go to. Normally I have at least 6 to choose from, with a dozen or so unobtainable. I've been in 3 or 4 stations today and there hasn't been more than 3 available in any of them, what is going on? If this is some new update this sucks.

if I had to hazard a guess, the background simulation is undergoing a behind the scenes overhaul/replacement, a few days ahead of the overhaul/replacement of the Horizons beta update, which also includes the other changes in the non-beta servers (cmonnnn my Ferdy upgrades!)
This sorta thing, along with the transaction server disconnects, and dropped Hipsterspace jumps (dangit cannot unsee that typo joke) are hiccups common to a major update.
So, in that light, its a sign that things are going good. ...right?

Sounds logical, I need my fix though!
If you have no cargo space you can say bye bye to any cargo related missions.
If you're in a part of space where they hate you, that can also affect your missions options.
Or it could be what Calaban said.
I had a few systems earlier that seemed light, even just now (4) but it does that from time to time.
Comes and goes for me.
