Hi everyone,
This is my first post on the forums after a few weeks of playing, mostly doing trading and exploring. Now I wanted to get into the bounty hunter thingy and something happened that I don't really understand.
I just bought a frameshift interdictor and used it for the first time on a human-player Cobra (same ship as mine) that was "wanted". My Cobra is A-outfitted (power plant, capacitor, shield generator etc.). I managed to get his hull down to 70%, and I had still at least 2 shield rings intact (perhaps 3, everything happened pretty fast). Suddenly something goes boom, my shields are down and hull (which was 100%) is down to 6%! Can a Cobra fit a weapon that wreaks that kind of havoc? Did I run into a point-blank double railgun burst? Or a missile? Needless to say, my first interdiction ever ended in me rebuying, because while I was afterburning to get out of dodge, he pounded me to shreds. I'm not complaining (The risk of doing stuff like PvP interdictions combined with the "no saves" persistent universe is what I like about it), but I'm wondering what happened!
Btw my opponent was a "Novice".
