What happens if FSD drops to 0% integrity during Neutron boost?

So was wondering what will happen if integrity on your FSD drops to 0% when boosting on a Neutron star?

What is the most logical thing to happen is that you drop out of super cruise to normal space, that is what happens if you turn off your FSD.

But another thing, you might never drop to 0%, as it seems that the damage to your FSD is less and less the lower your integrity is, at 100% it drops by 2 units, but at around 50% you only loose 1 unit, and below 20% it takes several boosts/attempts to drop 1 unit..... so you might never get to have 0% due to this.

I'm not sure what would happen. I never let my FSD get below 85% when I'm neutron boosting. And I did not know about the integrity thing. But I would suspect the same as you described, you would just fall out of supercruise. Definitely something you wouldn't want to happen inside the jet of a neutron star.

I believe you will drop out of supercruise and you'll be suck in the jet cone until your ship is destroyed.
In fact, I think at a certain point, above 0%, you have a random chance of being dropped out of supercruise which would be accompanied by the standard hull and module damage from an emergency drop.

Your FSD module percentage level will probably never get that low since at around 65-70 percent you will start to receive FSD malfunction errors and when it gets down to 50-60 percent it will simply cease to function. o7

+1 but I had trouble jumping as soon as I got below 80%. I was boosted already but I couldn't jump without repairing first.

OK, I have the answer....

It is possible to bring the FSD 0% integrity and when you are at true 0%, FSD shutdowns down and throws you out of Supercruise, "inside" the cone. I did this experiment at a very nice Neutron Star that had long arms and for a Neutron Star, very little disturbance, so I could repeatedly go into the cone at .4-.5 LS away from the Neutron Star.

Normal space was safe, no danger or being pulled towards the Neutron Star. The only damage I took appears to about the same damamge as doing an emergency exist from Super Cruise.

Some observations
80-100% No issues at all with FSD
70-79% many issues with FSD
10-69% Occasions issues with FSD, appears equally random
2-9% ALOT of FSD failures.

FSD failures are mostly occurring in a system where you just have Boosted at a Neutron Star.
The best way I have found to get going again was to drop to Normal Space, as it was quite often FSD did not come online while in Super Cruise, but below 10% this did take alot of tries even in Normal Space!!

When I get home, still 30k LY away from home. I will take a ship and drop out of Super Cruise inside the cone to see what happens.

Even if FSD malfunction during boosting, you can still Super Charge the FSD. The only timer I lost the Super Charge was when FSD broke at 0%!
