What happens if you pledge to a power and have stored ships with another power?

I have a shipyard full of ships with one power, but wouldn't mind trying out PP with a different power. No, I can't be bothered to move them all before pledging; it will take a day or 3...
So what will happen? Will they be inaccessible as long as I am pledged to this other power, or can I still get to them?
Or even worse: am I forfeiting them by pledging to an "enemy"?

Do anyone know?

Edit: no, it is not two powers within the Empire, but two opposing major powers.

That sucks..
I suppose I could accept the loss and sell them all off. I don't really need them, I just wanted to collect those ships I like, like the Clipper, the new Courier and DB's. I have flown to Sag A* in my dear Asp. and so on.

I feel ya', brother!

I love keeping my ships, even my first Sidey! They all have a special place in my heart...

Trouble is, they're all over the darned Galaxy. :p

It is not so bad.

you will only get shot at if you get scanned. just practice you ninja skills a bit and you will not have problems.

might be a problem if you depend on docking computer, though.

The ships will be safe, although you may find yourself getting interdicted a lot when you go to collect one.

There shouldn't be any problems docking however, only in SC.

Quite, get your ships, join again.

Can hurt of course if you got a lot of merits already but if you don't have a lot and don't mind losing them its a easy and safe solution.

and that's why i did the long trek from Torval space at Beta-1 Tucanae to Lady Arrissa's HQ. with all my ships.

I've entered stations in systems I'm classed as hostile and have been scanned by the station security forces without incident, they were only interested in whether I had a bounty on my head or carrying dodgy cargo, so I think you'll be fine :)

Urm... nothing will happen. Yes, you are hostile in another factions territory, but that doesn't mean the stations your ships are docked, nor the police surrounding it will shot you. Other players is a different story of course. At least i was never shot, scan or no scan.

Never had a problem at the docks, in fact I am allied with some that are in hostile territory, how that works I have no idea. Got pulled from SC a couple times though.

Because stations belong to either Independent, Alliance, Federation or Empire Minor Factions. And even if lets say Winters is exploiting / controling that system, Stations are still belonging to one of the factions. And as long as you are not enemy with *those*, or have a relevant bounty on your head, they won't shoot you. General Factions, Minor as well as Major - don't have anything to do with PP Factions regarding that.
