If i store 110T of cargo in a ship then store the ship will the cargo be there when i retrieve the ship?

You can't store a ship that has cargo in its hold.
Seems the programmers asked themselves the same question and instead of implementing cargo storage found it easier to implement a dialog box telling you to empty your cargo hold first...
I would really love to be able to swap ships if the target ship has enough room.
I agree, sounds perfectly reasonable.
They deliberately disabled any form of cargo storing to stop people sitting in a station playing the markets, it's in a dev quote somewhere
