Horizons What has been, the most Dangerous 'Glitch' in this game?

What is the most Dangerous 'Glitch' in this game? Past or present.

You all know what I am talking about; programming errors, dare we say, bugs?

To me, I feel that one we have now, that is close to Deadly; takes the prize. You may have other ideas, I would put up a poll, but this forum page, is just not long enough, too list all we have seen.

At the same time, I don't want this to turn into a, 'lets trash FD or ED', lets keep it simple, polite and realistic. Some may be funny, intermittent or even, boring. So what do you think, has been the most dangerous, to any Commander.

So my choice is the 'Fire at Will' turret glitch. It happens at every drop and endangers us, in ways, never seen before.

Most seem to fail safe (like the spinning NPCs) but the 2.1 release with mixed instance NPCs creating their insta-kill weapons has to the No.1 surely?

After that the one I found most frustrating at the time was when every NPC was either Harmless or Mostly Harmless in (IIRC) 1.2. Again though, it failed safe.

+1 for the Fire at Will thing, but one to add to the pile that isn't really a bug as such, but could ruin somebodies day. It happened to me 3 times last night and to a mate as well, we luckily both survived, but it could have been a lot worse.

Being as most of the "Connection lost to transaction server" errors happen as you change instance from normal to supercruise or hyperspace etc. and vice versa, when a player has selected a far away system to jump to and engaged the friendship drive, the fuel required for the jump is snaffled up. Now when the transaction server can't be found at that point, you get dumped out and when you get back in, you are sat where you started but without the fuel you would have used for your original jump. Doesn't take more than a couple of those in a combat ship to be out of fuel and slap bang in the middle of nowhere........cue the fuel rats or in a particularly dire situation, self destruct!

But yeah, still really just a +1 for the original fire at will issue. Oh wait, no I actually thought of one that is potentially deadly and nearly got me last night.

I was in a CZ with a couple of wingmates, had smashed a fair few enemy ships and was on full shield but no SCB left. All of a sudden, I was getting hammered and my shields dropped like a toilet seat. Nothing on the scanner, nothing in my visual range and my wingmates couldn't see or scan anything either. When I went to low wake out, I was inhibited by a mass lock factor of 23 which to me suggests a conda. There was, just like the matrix, no conda.

Hmm, I got a few candidates :

- Ship gets insta-killed at the moment of undocking at a Planetary Base
--> docked a large Ship, spent some time, pressed Launch and upon the moment of the Pad releasing the Ship - witnessed it take a 1000m/sec sideways blast-kick, instantly destroying it

- Ship gets insta-killed after Disengaging into an Asteroid by NAV-Lock on a Wingman already operating inside the Asteroid belt
--> ready to arrive at a Mining Buddy location, the Ship upon disengage smacked right into an Asteroid at full initial disengage speed - instantly destroying it

- Ship gets insta-killed after being parked in an Asteroid Belt or near a Planet
--> immediately after logging back in (be it game break or after being kicked due to a Server issue), Ship spawned inside an Asteroid or any other Obstacle... and was instantly destroyed at the moment of spawning

- Partial or total loss of Flight Controls when operating over Planet Surface with one or more Wingmen
--> at any random moment, most or all Flight Controls simply ceased to react to any Player Input... making the Ship drop down onto the Planet Surface completely uncontrolled, severely damaging or destroying it

Lesser candidate :
- Ship physically unable to depart from Pad on Planetary Base
--> after investigating a few Mission POIs around a big Planetary Starport, Ship docked again to complete the Mission(s). Upon pressing Launch, the Ship was released from the Pad - but physically unable to move, triggering Loiter Warning/Fine and soon thereafter the lethal response

By far the most dangerous 'Glitch' was the twitching station in Premium Beta .. that thing was terrifying!
Myup, that one gets my vote too. I remember approaching a station around the "beta starter systems", and when I was at maybe 5km to the port, I was suddenly facing the side of the drum so close that the textures were fuzzy, luckily still outside. I carefully retreated and went somewhere else. Another time I somehow managed to glitch out of the drywall with 5% hull left.

Oh, remember the blast doors in the docking port closing on some players despite Frontier claiming that it was technically impossible? Yes, that thing has teeth! Remember that every time you fly through the slot.

Coming out of Supercruise INSIDE a station was also pretty entertaining :D

Still happens if you exit supercruise right behind the station. A few times i simply crushed in but died only once :D

One thing that is really dangerous too is a slow loading time. I don't know if it is on me and/or my pc but i had it some time. I enter the station, switch to an other ship and wanna highwake from the station after leaving, flying to my destination. Suddenly out of nowhere i ram a wall, few seconds later the habitat-ring appears suddenly. I forgot him and the game needed lots of time to load it after i have left the station :( really dangerous if you chain-boost away from stations

Ahhh the old beta days, I remember this happening to my at Chango Docks one time, dont remember what system it was in I just remember the name due to the glitching station. Although I never encountered the bay doors closing, I kinda wish I did though, seems like it would have been cool.

>Land on a docking pad at a planetary settlement.
>End session for the night.
>Login the next day.
>Notice that you are no longer on the docking pad but parked somewhere in the middle of the settlement.
>Hear a skimmer explode against your hull.
>Watch helplessly as the settlement guns rip your hull to shreds.

Probably the bug I'm experiencing now. Go into supercruise, countdown, freeze, black screen, dead ship, no insurance screen, call to FD to fix, reply from FD that it's fixed, go into supercruise, countdown, freeze, black screen, etc.

Dangerous because it's not working while other games are on the up. NMS had better suck or ED has had it.
