What have they done to NPC pirates and trading?

I keep getting called a greenhorn, even though I'm double elite. In the lore pirates of a lone harmless sidewinder should go OMG its Shan, we're sorry please dont kill us...

Actually, i had a some NPCs do similar. They scanned me and said something like "You like like someone who knows how to handle themselves. I'm off"

And another said "I've been thinking of changing my line of work anyway"

Both flew away without attacking.

Rank hath its privileges. :D

By the time you are done, will it actually be possible to escape the NPC Pirates in a trading ship?

(Internet makes that question sound snarky...it isn't intended that way. It's a genuine question as to what options a trader will have available to them to escape a pirate).

you shouldnt imho. at least not 100% of the time. If you lose the minigame, you should have to fight or give cargo etc. IMHO.

the minigame could get a balance rework though for that making it less rng more skill.

People with huge bounties on their heads. :p

Good luck building up a huge bounty if you fly a shieldless eagle.

I thought I read something about AI threat assessment and not just attacking anyone at any time anymore. Would be interesting to know how that system works, or if it is even in yet. When single sidewinders interdict my Anaconda, it feels like it's not working.

I think hes suggesting they are wiping their high bounty, not building one up.

I know I've had NPC pirates give up when scanning me, even when I am carrying something valuable. They certainly changed something
