What have they done with Trading in 1.5 / Horizons

For the last 9 to 10 months or so I have been trading in Resonating Separators and making on average 1000 Cr per ton profit, this goes up and down very slightly as the market fluctuates. Since Horizons came out I have been doing mainly Bounty Hunting as RES sites, but thought I would have another go at trading. I loaded up my Anaconda with Resonating Separators and flew to my normal trading System only to find a LOSS of 99 Cr per ton - what the hell happened ???

They added planetary economies to the systems which disrupts how trade used to be. As in they often supply their own demands now due to the addition of a new type of economy present inside that system. So the planet is supplying the stations in that system.

But there are still very profitable systems out there you'll just have to move I like I had to.

I've also heard trade routes will vary a lot more now, so it won't be possible to stick with known ones for very long. I guess it means it'll keep people actively having to move on and out there to other systems to search for other opportunities.

... which would be an awesome improvement, in my books - if true. I'll definitely have to investigate this... after I am done flying around in my shiny new FdL.
I am also very curious about the new trading opportunities, planetary bases might grant.
Soooo many new possibilities! :)

They destroyed my old route too, I had a nice little trade route that I ran every now and again, 2 systems, 3 stations, about 350k per round trip in a 100T T6, now it's about 50k.... so disappointing, I've been running that route almost since launch.

Yea my routes are tanked too. I just did a round of a few of the local system stations today to see where i could get the best prices for a load of imp slaves and found a one way, one jump route paying 2.3k, which is over a mill in a conda, but still down at least 1.5k a ton on my pre 2.0 prices, although they were 2-3 jump routes.

Hopefully it will settle in a couple of weeks, as I like my little quiet backwater home base, so not too keen to move if I can avoid it.

Dunno, I've always just used CMDR's Log and cruised around looking for my own trades. Currently on a two station round trip of 2100 profit per circuit, nice and stable, too. Trading's fine, your local economy has changed.

Yes Ive not had a look at any planetary bases markets yet, just not had any real reason to land on planets after the initial look. Doesnt really interest me....however if they have a decent market thats gonna be a different story!
