Engineers What have you done to faction ranking??

You have completely destroyed faction ranking. [mad]

A single assassination mission got me 4% Empire experience at RANK NONE. This was a medium increase in reputation/influence. Can only find small and medium these days.

I love Elite: Dangerous, but this, along with many other changes and additions in 2.1 makes me want to quit. Seriously, I have a job to tend to, I don't have time or the energy to grind 24/7, and unless you do that it'll be very hard to make any kind of sensible progress.

I was looking forward to 2.1 you know, so many good changes I thought. Now I mostly just miss 2.0.

Seen this and have to sympathise with you. Seems very difficult to get empire reputation past 75%. I'll do half a dozen missions or more and maybe it'll go slightly over 80 log off for the night and it's back to 75% again.

Not sure what the key to getting this into allied is but I can't spend continuous periods of time online to get this to allied I think. I'm not that bothered I guess if I can't put the hours in then I guess I can't complain. There has to be benefit to putting in the hours for those that can sit around in underwear all day :)

for major faction rep allied you need to get allied with more minor factions of those superpower ... so, pick a system and run missions/.../

@OP that is crazy. i already skipped any ranking on my second account in 1.6. - because navy ranks ain't worth the grind; but those numbers seem to be far off.

Weird, I got allied 100% with empire without even trying. Now if someone could tell me how to actually move the bar that lets me rank up?

Turning in bounty vouchers will quickly boost your empire / fed reputation past 75%. My three superpower reps had all been sitting at 75% for a while, but last week I did the bounty hunting CG that was in Fed space and my Fed reputation shot up to 100% very quickly. It's been slipping back down this week, but it's still Allied 92%.

I am a little bothered about the news that rank percentages are so hard to push up now though; I was planning to try and get into a Cutter before the main set of Dangerous Games CGs begin (for my friends in SEPP), but I'm currently only at Master rank, so it sounds like I've no chance. I've got a Type-9 for trade-CG hauling and that's normally enough for me, but I wanted to make a special effort for this. So does the old charity / base attack stacking for rank not work anymore?

Aye have been doing this. Picked a system and I'm doing missions for the minor factions there. Got 3 of those to friendly status. Couple more to cordial. Are you saying that I should be running more factions in other systems perhaps?

I've been doing a good spread of missions also not just one or two types.

afaik the way is -> raise influence to allied with a minor faction, than move on.

but also it looks to me right know as if rep changes aren't registering correctly. just handed in 6 medium rep missions without any change of my major facton reputation.

Numbers are not off. 1 assassination mission with a medium increase of reputation and influence gave me 4% Empire Rank XP at Rank None (0).
