What have you done to prepare for the game

With the big day fast approaching I'm wondering what we have done to prepare for it ?

I've bought a new monitor (24" HD) a new Joystick (Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotas X) and a new graphics card so that i can run 2x Nvidia GTX 550 ti in SLI and 4Gb ram to bring it up to 8Gb.
In Total Ive probably spent about £300.00 including the £100.00 i spent on premium Beta.

Oh and i plan to buy a new chair but that's still on my list :D

I bought a gaming G55 V lap top over a year ago and I'm converting my basement into a bar/gaming/AR area.

I also dusted off my X52 Pro game controller that I used to use for flight sims

Got a supply a gaming nappies
Found a cheap keyboard and put stickers on it for 'scoop' etc to use as an instrument panel with my HOTAS
being nice to Mrs Render

Well as I quit PC gaming 6 years ago and switched to consoles I had to start all over again on my rig:

PC - £2100 Initially. But I went cheap on the G card, so saved up for a:

GTX Titan Black - £800, then realised I needed a joystick, so I bought:

Saitek X52 Pro - £100

After playing for a bit on a tiny 24" monitor. I realised I really missed the comfort of console gaming on a settee with a huge TV, so I bought:

50" HDTV - £800

Don't tell the wife. ;)

Bought a Logitech Extreme 3d Pro joystick. $30. My rig is up to date. Unfortunately, by the time SC comes out, I'll have to get a new video card. Just waiting for the bleeding edge to drop two levels.

Sold the wife and kids to some shady trader in Chango Dock, brought a second hand sidewinder with the profits, told my boss i need two weeks off after launch, he said sure yes no worries (nice to be your own boss and work online in graphics and 3D)

Actually the last week or so, just spent time getting up to the viper and cobra, then clearing save and trying out different loadouts on the lower end stuff to get the fastest way of making money in, too impatient for mining so for me its been missions and bounty hunting and a few kill missions, lots of action and no time to get bored.

I had planned to upgrade my old Core2Quad to a new I7 beasty by doing component upgrades. However the Mrs said that she wanted to give me a 10th anniversary present to the same value as the ring I bought her. So now I have to work out what to get...

I already have all the kit I need. I'd love a Rift, but not until the actual release version comes out.

I am pretty much not playing any more. After all, the bugs are all the same ones so they don't need us to test those anymore. There will be a wipe for Gamma, so there is not really any point in accumulating any rep or credits. So I will just play other games until the Gamma is released.

I'm a bit embarrassed to admit it, but I will nonetheless.

I bought a Saitek X52 Pro throttle and stick just for E: D premium beta. As I game from a couch I mounted these on a Lapdawg laptop tray, which works great. I then read all the hype about the Oculus Rift DK2, so bought that too. So for beta, I bought:
* Saitek X52 Pro
* Oculus Rift DK2
* Lapdawg laptop stand

For full release I've decided to go one further. I have ordered:
* Volair flight sim gaming chair
* Thrustmaster Warthog throttle and stick
* Saitek Pro Combat pedals
* EDtracker (turns out I'm one of the few who doesn't enjoy the DK2)

I have never before spent this sort of money on gaming. It's ridiculous!
