So the shards from the crystal spikes are giving Sulfur? That's unusual indeed, not seen that myself it's normally the highest value in the mat table that drops, you in H or O doing this?

I vaguely recall that crystal shards in Odyssey no longer dropped T4 mats every time. I could be wrong... but would certainly put to rest any idea that that was ever intentional 🤷‍♂️

It wasn't that long ago I filled up on shard sites and they only ever dropped one type of mat, the highest the planet had, but that was a couple of patches ago and could have been changed since, it will have to wait until I am close enough to a site to test, but the last few bodies I found recently with crystal spikes did indeed drop the highest level mats on the body, but I only tested once on each body so that may not be enough to determine the facts.

Was in Horizons 4.0 - exited & relogged in horizons 3.8 - HIP 36601 - C5a crystal shards were back to Technetium
Don't know if this bug is unique to Horz 4 or if its in Ody as well.

Will test next time I find crystals, or someone else who is already near some can test!

Just visited HIP 36601 for the first time since Odyssey. Managed to fill up on Technetium in around 30 minutes. Tended to find varying clusters with from 3 to maybe 15 shards in each area. They were easy to find and I could pretty much always see the next set of shards in the distance, so a short drive between each.

No sign of the bug above and Odyssey really doesn't feel any less efficient to the old Horizons POI, except for a little bit of natural spacing between the shards, rather than a big clump in a concentrated area.

When I was looking a few weeks ago I too came across some lvl 1 mats being given. I think I just looked elsewhere on the planet and found the lvl 4 ones in another location.
