What I would like to see come to the Beta

Planet Coaster is shaping up to be a great game, but its missing a lot of key coasters and features. That i hope to see in the Beta.

The Game in general.
As we all know our parks in the game are very small. Not big enough to recreate a real life park. I suggest a 25 tile or even 50 tile method. Also the terrain around the park is vary awkward when you have a flat park. So here are suggestions on how to make the game more realistic.
1. Add a more powerful terrain editor to make the land outside of your park the way you want it. For an example. Cedar Point is located on a peninsula surrounded by water with sandy beaches. And Kennywood is basically on the side of a mountain.
2. Hotels and Resorts are a big part of theme parks and it would be nice to be able to build them for your guests, it would also make more money.
3. More generic themes. Example Cedar Point dosnt have a lot of themes. Its just generic, which we need more o fin the game
4. The Queue. Its realistic to an extent but most queues for rides are set for how long the wait for the ride is. For example if you build a massive queue line and the wait time for the ride is only 5 minutes, you shouldn't have to walk though the whole queue. The longer the wait for the ride the more of the queue is used. Example, any queue line for any ride.
5. Will we see a water park option in the beta. Most big parks have water parks.

The Roller Coasters
There are very few types of roller coasters in the game right now. Heres what i would like to see (different track types.

Intamin

Hyper: Superman Ride of Steel (Six Flags America)
Giga: Millennium Force (Cedar Point)
Strata/Launch: Top Thrill Dragster (Cedar Point)
Blitz: Maverick (Cedar Point)
Inverted Launch: Wicked Twister (Cedar Point)[/COLOR]

These are the track types we would like to see besides the B&M track

Wooden Coasters/RMC/GCI

Standard wood: Mean Streak (Cedar Point), Cyclone (Coney Island)
GCI: Mystic Timbers (Kings Island), Gwazi (Bush Gardens Tampa)
RMC: Iron Rattler (Six flags fiesta texas), Lightning Rod (Dollywood)

WE would like to see these types of coasters added to the game. Along with many more types, RCT# had a huge list of coasters. So we need those in a next gen game.

Custom Supports
We wanna be able to make our coasters as realistic as possible. So if there was a custom support option that would be sweet. Like No Limits 2 Also for wooden/RMC coasters there should be a massive wooden structure holding it up not just right below the track all round it like a real wood coaster. This also includes custom catwalks

Thats all i can think of for now cant wait for the beta to see if any of this gets added

+1 except 4 and 5 :D

Agree,

#4 - Personally, I'm not fussed about this options as very few of my queues are zig zagged, but maybe they could code it in that if the queue zigs/zags then the guests could "jump the rope" if they is no one front of them - but I'm happy with them walking it - get some of the lard off!

#5 - Based on the water we have and that they have said they are not planning on doing full water mechanics, I don't think we will get much water park stuff - except where the water is "contained" in the ride, like a log ride. Hopefully a water expansion will come after release, and then possibly zoo type of expansions (e.g. like RCT3). The future for this game could be quite awesome if frontier stick to doing expansions for a few years rather than switch to another game.

We're all ready for a new wonderful game after RCT3, and I think this is it!

Yes! :D

I remember to hear that Mr. John Laws (Director of Art) said, that if Planet Coaster is successful, there is room for expansions.
I can´t find it, yet. But if i found the video, i´ll post it.

Water park could def be a DLC !!!

I kinda wish there was optional arch designs for queue lines like one of the alphas had I heard

I personally would want the water park / rides etc to be an Expansion rather than a DLC, through the occasional free DLC would be nice.

Wooden Coasters.

1. A lot of people are already struggling with performance and FPS, even those with pretty high end machines. I doubt the park size will increase any more than about 1.25-1.5 times what we have at the moment otherwise they are just going to end up with loads of negative feedback about the game running at 1fps when people fill up the map and have 100,000 guests.

2. Hotels + resorts is way too big an ask in the time they have before launch. That's potentially a whole expansion pack's worth of content just there.

3. They've taken feedback about generic rides on board, although to be fair i think they are offering a good mix of generic and themed so far.

4. It's a good suggestion but they need to optimise the game more first before adding even more guest calculations into the mix.

5. Almost certainly not, they have been very cagey about water rides so far. We might get log flumes at launch if we are lucky but I wouldn't hope for anything more than that. However I am sure that a water park expansion will be high on their list of priorities if the game is successful.

I'm sure there will be more coaster types including wooden coaster types. But bear in mind that these things take time and it is a lot more difficult to create realistic looking wooden coaster supports in planet coaster than in previous RCT games where you could only use prebuilt sections of track. A lot of your Intamin suggestions could probably be added fairly quickly but it still takes time to animate and code things and at some point they do need to stop adding content and focus on fixing existing bugs etc.

I doubt we will get completely custom supports as that will require more coding to stop things glitching out and looking weird. But I think they have done a good job of doing semi-realistic supports so far. Definitely better than RCT2 but the end of the day
