What if there was no "normal" space?

Doing combat and stuff in normal space is good in my opinion. It would be great if they could remove the transitions though, making everything seamless.
I understand that it's probably complicated but not impossible, we can already change instances without loading times.

I am not suggesting this. It is just a thought.

I realize that doing the following requires one big instance and that might not be possible but...

...just for fun...would it be cool if there were no "normal space", but everything took place in supercruise mode. All travel and combat, as well as all signal sources and all other things present in the system were present and you could slow all the way down to zero and stop right at the nav beacon, as an example.

Then, there would be things to fly around during combat. Such as combat around the sun or a moon or with whole systems whizzing by. And we would have full thruster control over the ship while supercruising.

Supercruise is basically just an excuse to make travel possible in a star system while keeping realistic astronomic distances, but just kept slow enough to allow for a sensation of scale. It replaces the accelerated time button of Frontier Elite II.

Normal flight is the "real meat" of the game, where we apply a greatly exaggerated versions of current day machinery and theoretical inventions to do battle in an idealized Newtonian physics world (albeit with automated trusters to help out when we need it).

if there was only supercruise, then there would be no stations because they are not present in SC only in "normal" mode
