What is best system state to find skimmer missions

From what I understand, they are currently REMOVED from the game as of 3.0.3. There's a post in the Announcements sub forum. Once they are back, they should be spawning wherever there's a war or civil war. Assuming they won't be overnerfed beyond the point of being worthless, in which case nobody will be doing them and they will remain in the game. FD seems to like doing stuff backwards.

Really? I thought they were back. I saw a few a couple days ago, but was not looking for them. Now that i am, i cannot find any. LOL. Oh well. I was doing some scan missions, but find them a little anoying when you go hostile just scanning a base. Rather kill things to go hostile, atleast the bounties ussually cover the fines.
Maybe i will try some cargo runs in my Cutter for awhile. Thanks for the reply mate.

It’s easier if you ignore the bases entirely and just go to POIs.
Try Altair, there are normally quite a few there from elite rebel force, future of altair and more. Also rare cargo available at Solo.
I roll out of there quite a bit, was doing skimmer missions yesterday. In an SRV i must add, never got involved in the skimmer missile exploit, happy picking up materials as i trundle along 40km from the target base looking for easy skimmer kills.

Large clusters of colonies tend to hate each other. Rind area currently is good for 3mil (Scan tiny outpost and run) or 5mil (Kill 9 skimmers.) just board flip and load up going to the same fort. Avoid +++ though. Those bases tend to suck.
Keep in mind though ,kill too many skimmers from the controlling group you might be hated in a system.

They fixed the code. No more orbital bombardment.
Rind and surrounding systems are -Loaded- with skimmer kill missions . Boom state, war state, heck when do humans need an excuse to desire to wreck someone elses stuff.
Densely packed systems with those + and ++ bases are what you're looking for.

Wrong. Bombing with your ship is still there. No need to even land

. Someone may know better than me, but lacking any useful replies, here's mine...Best states are War or None (I'm not sure which is best).
The worst state is Boom (which is unfortunately quite common).
But location also seems to play quite a big part, so you may need to visit quite a few systems. I suggest check places near Anarchies & Independent systems, as missions to them are far less likely to cause you problems (although you should still check the controlling faction of your target base).

TY very much for the info. I been bouncing around all over, and so far found only the odd skimmer mission. I think Devs made them very rare.
