What is Elite rank 1, rank 2 etc

Not played the game for a while. I see ranks Elite ranks 1-5 in signatures sometimes, have FDev introduced Elite+ ranks?

Where do I find the announcement / info about these rank please?

Those came with Odyssey.
They're called "prestige ranks", I think.
Not visible in Horizons / base game.

Ah, that explains why I cant see them. I've not bought ED:O yet. Waiting for FDev to offer a discount.

Yeah my post didn't reflect that it's not retroactive . Fdev again showed their lack of understanding of the players . In my own opinion ( I've been triple for 3 years and I'm still playing . I have to admit no interest in the makey up prestige ranks . And I will have to wait for EDO to drop )

Same here, been triple for quite some time, but the prestige ranks will happen eventually. Not like i care, anyway

It means you're elitier than someone who is just plain old boring elite if you're into that sort of thing. I just trade/go exploring/blow stuff up and rankings happen (or did).

Thanks for the responses all. I've found the offcial patch notes now. I think 'cos I've not bought ED:O, I didn't I read them properly.

• Added 5 new ranks (Elite Stars) for all ship and on-foot ranks

Anyone know what is the progression to get from Elite to rank 1? What about rank 2 etc?

I've been playing Elite since 2014 and I am not Elite anything.

This impresses me more than made up Elite +++++++++++++++++++++++w/e titles

and in response to the OP's title two words: pish and drivel

@zarrazee you don't start gaining any progression on them until u have EDO assuming u ever do or can (see console/ mac)
