What is everyone's problem with beta dates?

Why even start a thread like this?

All you will get is stupid arguments.

Or off-topic ones like this one ;)

So...You guys don't really like my topic coz it's too redundant?

Okay. I get it. You want me or one of the mods to delete it?

No ill will to you tho.

Hi folks.

You've read the title, so answer it. Please give reasonable arguments to your opinion and DON'T start any stupid arguments.

Thank you.

Its mainly because people think for some reason that the beta was going to be in summer, but it was confirmed for the first day of fall (For the norther hemisphere). This is probably due to the fact that a news website reported that the beta was in the summer, and everyone ran with it. So people are upset due to the fact that the "summer" beta release date that wasn't confirmed by frontier, and sort of made up by the news article, didn't happen when it was supposed to, and they blame them for false marketing.

I'm slightly out of the context. But if you do mean the case when some developers announced beta date and then moved it further in future then basically this is a sign of underestimation. This is quite popular and regular thing for software developers. Number of static data says that usually developers asks 65% of time they actually will need.

Nah, I don't blame frontier for anything. I'm mostly disappointed because the beta is limited for two weeks and I had not expected it - and during this two weeks I will have very little free time.
So no hard feelings against anyone, but disappointed non the less.

I’m not going to say much about it anymore because I’m making my peace with it. But for me it was a bit lack of communication and the arrival of unexpected news. Yeah we shouldn’t have believed summer but it was the only information we got and instead of having frontier deny the summer announcement, they let it live it’s own life and people got their hopes up. Some people planned that it would be in a favourable time period for them as they would be too busy in fall and so on. So that’s one aspect.

Second was the news that it would only be open for 2 weeks. Now I don’t often follow games from before their release, I tend to play games that have been out for a while or that I know from previous versions. I know what I’m getting into. With planet zoo I didn’t have that. Yes I bought JWE but they didn’t have a beta to play for everyone. So the concept is new to me and I didn’t think there would be a time limit attached to it. Again news I wish was communicated to the community a long time ago.

There is just so much hype for this game and when people are so passionate there is just no escaping for some let downs.

But like I said, I’m getting over it, I don’t think there is much use to keep complaining about it. I’ll take the experience with me for future releases if there ever is another game that makes me so excited as this one.

I have a few mid week days off and a whole weekend off for one of the weeks. So will stay up past midnight for my days off to enjoy and post to YouTube Planet Zoo Hype thingy stuff. Woo. It is only a two week program but was expecting something more consistent like get to play it the 2 weeks immediately before November 5. But if you have the Deluxe Edition, you can at least try it out as early as next month. And if you have a busy schedule, upskill your time management and make time and make the most of your Deluxe purchase. It was good to see Rudi and Silveret's excuse my spelling YouTube videos. They give me hearts for my comments. Well I seem to be the most active New Zealand YouTuber for this things. New Zealand and Proud Of It.
