Discussion What is 'Factions' in authorized applications in my user portal?

It's the login used by https://www.elitedangerous.com/factions
That internet address returns this for me (using Firefox):
503 Service Temporarily Unavailable
and then on refresh:502 Bad Gateway
...but based on the address I am correct in that it is part of Frontier, and not 3rd party site/service, correct?
Edit: NEVERMIND -- firefox+internet were just acting up...address worked after few; and answer to my own question above is 'yes'.

Yes, part of Frontier.
Same error for me going directly ... if you go to https://www.elitedangerous.com/community and click on the "Submit your faction" link there, then that also goes to https://www.elitedangerous.com/factions but doesn't give the 502 error for me, so who knows what they've done this time.
