What is going on at Arditi?

I visited Aditi to get some higher rank with the Empire.
Got some planetary scan job to find some data link.
But I cannot get what I want.
It took ages to find out where the mission object was located. I had to scan the whole system to find a clue, one that is not even suggested when I accepted the mission. And do forget about a navigation beacon that was suggested to be there. It was not there.
Then I descended to the planet, only to find out that the 'search area' jumped to and fro. Made me crash once.
When getting close to a 'building' on a planet with my corvette, I could see the data point. But I could not interact with it. Turning upside down, as was advised, made no difference; the data point vanished as soo as I tried to get close to it. The SRV, when used, was shot to pieces.
And then, not having operated wildly, nor having been attacked by anything worse than skimmers, I lost my Corvette shields twice (at least once due to some 'engine reboot'). And no, I did not go silent running.
Meanwhile, trading beacons where shown in blue in the navigation panel as mission targets, even though I never was looking for them.

What is going on here?

Can't beat Ngalinn/Mainani/Aitvas for Imp rank, IMO.

Data delivery between Hickam, Flettner and Mies van der Rohe.
Also heaps of planetary scan missions if that's what floats your boat.

Worked for me!
I now own the Imperial Cutter.
Wonder now what to do with this sluggish thing.

You lost the shields because you hit a skimmer. When skimmer missions were first added people were ramming them to death so they were given an emp effect when rammed

You and me both :)

I took the soft option and did Fed rank to follow (in the Cutter!) then binned the Cutter for a Corvette - much nicer to fly, even if it doesn't carry quite so many goodies 🚀 (personal opinion only)
