What is Halsey looking for?

So, President Halsey, who should be dedicating all efforts to fighting for her political career back home, decides to go tour the border worlds, including some obscure and unlikely destinations.

And now it appears that the Federation supposedly know more than they're telling about the unknown artifacts.

Somehow this doesn't feel like a coincidence. Halsey's not running away from political troubles at home - she's heading out there in search of something. Something she's afraid that others will find first, now that these artifacts have become public knowledge.

Maybe she's gone to put a bullet in the blue sky but still hasnt found what she is looking for where the stars have no name.

I have a feeling she decoded the UA and she knows something crazyly frightening and went to find what the message means. and politicals is the least of her worries. OR the UA has info taht would win the favor back for her as the "finder"

78 Ursae Majoris - the system highlighted as a "bizarre" destination in the Galnet report - is the closest Federation system to He Bo system. The system that's seeking Unknown Artefacts (yes, I know that was a player-generated story, but it seems Frontier have taken up that ball and are running with it).

I now do believe that either one or both of the recent stories regarding the Empire and Federal Senators in the Galnet posts are a lead towards a possible link with the UA's being transported around the Galaxy by highly guarded Fed pilots in strong signal sources at this current time.
They may be useful like a FSD, they may be crying for help or asking for peace, they could be releasing spores and infecting us all or carrying a live specimen of Alien biology. We will find out within a few weeks I feel is a time line to look at, the line up and introduction of Power-Play.

Its a stunt , she does care about this , the women just want to get the scientific community to back her... during her tour of the systems she might well meet her end... and maybe it will happen in 74 ursa majoris , to add irony to injuries...

She is a risk to all 3 factions and even the independent small powers... she is playing with power , but powerplay like that and you end up dead

Maybe she needs to establish her right to power before she has the Emperor bumped off and claims his throne. You know those Empire types have big ego's and a throne to her is an attractive proposition I suspect. Kill the assassins then pose as the Savior and lap up the adulation before the Emperor ...Ahh hem...''has an accident''

It is only Bizarre as they just voted to leave the Federation.
That said it make sense to show support to the two Federation controlled enclaves in the system

Maybe. Maybe I'm seeing conspiracies everywhere. But it's a little coincidental to me that the Federation President is visiting the closest Federation system to He Bo - of all the systems in the populated Galaxy - at this time, with all the speculation about the UAs.

Yea we have got nowhere with the combined efforts of hundreds, possibly thousands of CMR's looking at these things and dissecting the audio with spectrum analyzers. The last Clue we had was from Drew the book author and he nudged us towards Galnets posts by replying to RedEye's post. That was the last concrete clue, page 250 of Dr.Arcannons thread I think it was.

I heard she's looking for some good sound editing freeware, and a beginners guide to binary... Apparently that kind of thing is all the rage, and it'll boost her popularity.
