what is my name in game?

Every other commander I come across eventually gets a name, but I never set one in game so what am I called? and if nothing, how can i give myself a name?

If you navigate to the right-hand panel you should be able to see it there. You can also submit a name change by logging into support.orerve.net and going to the 'Commander Profile' tab.

I appear to be called Backer #35203 - a charming name. I am just floating around Azeban city watching all the other ships blow them selves up on the entrance wondering where to go to go kill some of these pirates on the missions I just received.

I must admit, i've been on for 2 hours now flying about Azeban city trying to engage people in conversation but no one seems interested. Ive tried text chat, voice chat everything... ramming them, shooting them - no one seems to want to talk.
