What is the absolute distance record from Sol?

What is the absolute distance record from Sol??

As above.... I know that post-jumponium several intrepid (mad) commanders tried to go even further out. Just how far did you get?

AFAIK no one has actually gone beyond OEVAXY IG-Y D0 at 65,627.09 LY. The furthest system of all is OEVASY SG-Y D0 at 65,647.34 LY which can already be reached, just not if you think being able to scan the system or even discover any of the bodies is worthwhile ;)

I'm not sure what system Whiterose is referring to but I'm pretty sure that his corrected figure is till wrong....

Is that an 'unless engineers add something special' or an 'I've looked very hard for something further and it is just not going to happen until we can have the same drives that Jacques does' statement?

65,356.04 is the corrected and validated figure. You have to realise I am very old and my brain is full, so remembering numbers is frought with error. Thankfully because I am old and forgetful I write things down.

It's as in "that's the edge of the galaxy and there are no stars farther out" (to the best of my knowledge). In some parts of the galaxy, the systems fade out over a very large expanse, but on the northern edge the fall off is quite sudden so it's relatively easy to find them all visually along with taking account of what we know about how the galaxy is generated.

Of course, it's always possible that there might be rogue systems further out, maybe even small clusters of them. We can view the galaxy map all the way up to 76,000 and there's 20,000 LY of vertical to play with too. That's a lot of space to hide something in!

OEVAXY IG-Y D0 was not reachable for me in my 32LY ASP, however I could make Oevaxy BF-A d0 which is at 65,538 LY. :)
I was quite happy because I didn't expect this but it demanded 8 Polonium and other valuable mats. :p

So I'm trying now to refill desperately my bag for the engineers before 2.1 drop. :D

This thread is interesting, so like you there was one system I just did not have the jumponium for - I made it to Ceeckia OK-C D14-0 at 65.465ly but did not get to OEVAXY LA-A D0 one boosted jump on.
Think OEVAXY LA-A D0 may still be unclaimed and is at about 65.510ly, so if anyone is heading out that way I would love to get this mapped and checked out.

I did get myself a little further out and it looks like I'm looking in the wrong place :)

I was looking around the Iorant KK-E c25-0 / Iorant OQ-C c26-0 area according to EDD. I did break the 65,400LY from Sol barrier though

Lol, maths was never my strong point

65,852
Tenacity perhaps. How long did that take?
