What is the ACTUAL max speed of ships?

As the title states, what is the actual max speed I can expect from ships. The wiki states that the Asp max speed is 340 m/s but I've gotten mine close to 380 m/s http://elite-dangerous.wikia.com/wiki/Asp_Explorer The wiki also states the cobra can only get to 400 m/s but I've gotten mine to 440-445 m/s with A thrusters.

So.... How fast can these ships really go? (In particular, I'm intereasted in the Clipper. I'm currently doing a bit of mission grinding to rank up so I can buy one. How fast can that ship go?)

I think these numbers are if you buy them from stock with standard outfitting

If you buy better Power Plant etc. this will vary

not helpful re a clipper but I have had an asp up to 379 on boost
( I have a written record of course)
cobra 448 on boost

your figures are about right

I understand the flight model changes, but does anyone know to what extent? I was really turned off from the Asp until I realized I could in fact get it to go faster.

That is alot of data that has to be aquired and edited into the wiki pages, will take some time until such deeper details are sinking in, and lots of effort from the community

Until then you can explore and be surprised ;)

The numbers are irrelevant. It's a shame they're not reflecting what A-Thrusters give, because that is the important information.

Another issue is that the Admin of the wiki doesn't like accurate information, he just wants the wiki to be copypaste from game information. Can't really do much there with this :(

Thanks! It seems so odd that their aren't visible states in game with these numbers. The only reason I find this strange is the game is a simulator and Naval vessels typically have binders with information regarding turn radius, pivot points, etc. just to use the vessels for basic ship driving and piloting.

So if I enter in these numbers into the wiki they will be changed?
