Engineers What is the best way to obtain Hybrid capacitors?

Someone told me i could just go to a low res site and kill the small ships.

Is this true?

No , only Military/Authority ships. In the sheet you have an installation tab, choose one witch drop materials. And relog in that location so long as you get what you need.

What is so important about them? They are not used for any grade 5 blueprints anyway. But I do see them as mission rewards very often.

Hybrid capacitors definitely drop from some pirate ships at RES, although not very often.

This can drop on REZ only if you kill Police or Alliance Ships, which means you destroy Military/Authority ships. From Pirate ships this material dont drop.

Just fly out to Dav's Hope and you're likely to find one nearly every round, they drop quite often there

they are used for lvl 3 weapon focus. there is no lvl 5 weapon focus.
