What is the F1 Manager roadmap?

I think many of us would like to understand the F1 Manager roadmap moving forward (post initial bug fixes/AI improvements)

Given it is literally called F1 Manager 2022:
  • Will it remain a one off game and just reflects the 2022 drivers and races
  • Is it going to be rereleased every year 2023, 2024 etc with improvements each iteration
  • Or will it potentially be updated with DLC instead
Personally, I'd prefer ongoing updates and/or DLC which add:
  • Additional voice (even actors mimicking driver/crew - the lack of some real voice during comms is a bit detracting)
  • Additional circuits used in the past and/or planned (ie Vietnam was planned, large amount of old circuits, then vary 1 or 2 circuits each year for variety)
  • Sprint races
  • Create own team (name, liveries, colors)
  • Ongoing improvements (patches)
Otherwise would appreciate understanding the roadmap for this game.

Well, so far, they did provide patches ...
The next one is supposed to fix tyres wear...

I am not sure they have a roadmap... It's more like they are reactions to the most important item or bug...so far.

I would love to have a dev correcting my assumptions.

They have a multi-year license, and will release a new version every year. Their plan is to provide as few patches as needed to cover up the worst of this release, then sell the rest of the fixes as a new game.

If that the case, i will pass...

This kind of politic marketing rubbish is over and out for me... Having to pay the full monty every years...no.

After, if it is a yearly DLC with reals new things, with a correct pricing, why not...

Thanks for finding that Ian Skippy.

That's a bit of a let down. While the game accounts for driver/crew/rules changing over seasons, it doesn't account for circuit changes - would have hoped it would randomly change circuits (ie 1 or 2) every few seasons

Suggested additions to add variety:
Nurburgring 41 races last 2020
Hockenheimring 37 races last 2019
Shanghai 16 races last 2019
Istanbul 9 races last 2021
Las Vegas planned
Vietnam planned (maybe)

Well, if it is true, and each years we will have to paid the full monty, in that case I am done.
If it's a small fee DLC for each years, well, pricing will be very important.

Sorry frontier. I am not your personal ATM. You'd better think hard before screwing the gaming community !

I have explorer the games content... 26 tracks present... data_track_globals + 2 strange tracks ( one labelled invalid ).

So maybe patches update, modding, free DLC, not free DLC ...

Already spent 145h 5 seasons ( always the same race list, so boring )

I am thinking going back to motorsport manager from 2016... at least, i can fully create my team, including naming it...

Well next season will have Qatar and Las Vegas added (24 total). The current iteration doesn't account for F1 seasons post 2022.
I'm going to guess one of those additional tracks might be Sochi - I'm sure it was developed up until it was cancelled.
Did your exploration reveal track names for the extra 4 you found?

I am also one of those not buying if its a new seperate release yearly , unless it has some seriously new additions to it like F2 , I will maybe do like i do with Football Managers and buy it on sale every 3 years or so
