what is the point in keeping the bounty board at the moment?

I get how the BB should work but at the moment it's just free advertising for the people farming credits? Surely at least a temporary workaround would be to simply disable it until it can work as intended.

I don't think I've seen any bounties there below 100 mil for a while but equally I don't check it any more because there's no point!

Agreed, they should shut it down for now. As it stands it's simply an embarrassment for FD.

If the bounty was player controlled wouldn't that resolve the issue? After all what the point in paying money to yourself to destroy your own ship on another account?

They allow someone else to kill them and claim the bounty.
