CQC What is the point of hacking CQC?

Why are you hacking in CQC?

Arguments against:
1. It does not give you any meaningful credits. Why bother?
2. You are a looser even if you win - others play honestly, and your "win" does not mean that you are better.
3. You are exposing yourself to a criminal prosecution in UK (cheating to get the tournament prizes)
4. Bad reputation - even the slightest hacking is noticeable.

Best guess: to get a rise out of people, like trolls. I've, so far, only had one encounter with something that was obvious and intentional cheating. I recon being just after a sale where a lot of people picked up a clean copy and second, third or fourth accounts, there will be a lot of folks testing the boundaries.

Can't get much of a rise out of people when there's no chat of any kind, so I doubt the trolling angle is very satisfying for them.

I can't understand the mindset of a cheater either. Totally pointless. I've apparently been fortunate enough not to encounter any though, or maybe just too dim to notice. :)

Because some people had it done to them, so why not do it to others.

Because somebody can, & nobody can stop them.

Because in real life breaking the rules will make you successful; not because of any kind of intrinsic nature in the universe, but because our system is twisted & corrupt, so that is the only way to really get ahead.

Try making money without ripping off somebody somewhere along the line...

P2P is at fault really...its easy peasy to do things.
is the problem because its a online game?....
this is the world of pc it is open source,the whole reason I gave up on 30 years of consoles and jumped ship is because of the PCs open abilities,most of my gaming is single player games,and I have a trainer for every single one...sometimes its fun to play god in your own world.

plus if my lad wants to have a quick go on batman or some tripe he wanted me to download he also appreciates his bat mobile not being blown up ha ha..

and plenty of money can be made in ED.....but not in CQC lol...that's just dumb to go in there with invincible shields and never ending one hit kills ammo...


cheating is older than multiplayer gaming gentlemen.....codes,scripts,or whatever..(game genie anyone?)....will always be around...



just because a newish gaming mantle known as multiplayer is now the norm,it wont make things change....

how do you know ?....you would be dead instantly if he was.....probably without even seeing him on your radar..
unless it was toned down a wee bit.....

I don't think none of you even know what is capable of being done in this game

I have not witnessed anyone hack in cqc and i play a fair bit. The difference between a good player and an average player is pretty vast.

- To get to Level 50 faster so you unlock the CQC Holdings Co's station in the main game that has every ship and module available.

- To qualify for the Tournament so you get a free trip to the UK.

- To feel better about yourself because you're :):):):) at the game otherwise.

Well I just encountered my first bonafide cheater in cqc today. His shields would drop down to 1 ring, and I hammered him for 15 seconds straight with enhanced weapons and nothing happened to his shields. Did that several times with same result. Funny thing is he was so bad he only killed 2 people while invulnerable. Obviously he didn't win the game, but wow I guess some people need all the help they can get.

I can't boost continuously either, but you can time it fairly close to that with the effenciency enhanced boosters. The speed enhanced boosters are interesting since you can't boost as much but you can keep your top speed longer, so if you time it better you can move faster, but you can't boost as often so it is worse during turn fight.
