What is the point of human ax weapon

the ax weapon looks cool but it's kind of useless
. the damage are really low to against Thargoid ships
. and it is expensive
. the muit-cannon was really bad!

I think the working theory, going by the logs at the recently discovered secret base, is that when Aegis developed them they only knew about Thargoid Scouts. And indeed, the AX weapons they created are pretty decent against scouts. Obviously development takes time, so by the time the AX weapons were released for sale, humanity had also encountered Thargoid Interceptors. But considering how poorly they do there, it seems reasonable to suppose that the AX weapons simply weren't created with Interceptors in mind.

It was the in between before guardian tech was discovered/produced into weapons. /thread
But if you meant in terms of gameplay? Yes, this ^^^

This is fine ... 😬

That being said, AXI composed a memorandum of proposed balancing changes to AX weaponry and modules recently. AX MCs were proposed to be left as is due to the niche role they play.

I don’t think they are that expensive considering credits is usually a non factor.
