What is the scale of the grid on the Galaxy Map?

As per the topic. Does anyone know? Can we calculate it?

Connecting all the dots from Sol to Beagle must have taken a while...
Nah, well, yeah (I am using a Vulture, after all – never mind that I don't actually have access to Sol in the game), but... those were just the minimum plottable waypoints I found across the Abyss along the way out to BP and back on DW2.

To be clear, I didn't mean any slight by that post. That's just when the scale became relevant to me, with the over 65K Ly exploration thread and the like. I found it kind of funny to see the 1K Ly incremental text on the pic, considering I've been exploring in the game for a handful of years now and hadn't really paid much attention to it before then.

It was actually a lot of fun and I mapped that route in a few days. What Can I say? I'm a geek.

Cheers. :)

Should the grid size be affected by the mass contained in the cubic volume?
Considering space-time dilation isn't in the game, I would assume not.

The galaxy is held together by space magic, but that's what the majority of people know it as anyway, so I think we're good either way. A grain or two of Himalayan pink salt* as you might prefer. :)
