Newcomer / Intro What is this new symbol on the galaxy map?

We all patched up for ED: Beyond. And I noticed something new on the galaxy map, above my personal garage system / favorite Federation rep grind location.
A symbol of an orange cylinder, tilted to the right.

Here's a screenshot:

As you can see, there is no in-game description of what that symbol is, no way to toggle it on or off.
So I'm asking here, anybody have any ideas?

It looks like a cargo canister, maybe it is to do with the new trade and markets filters.

isnt that for market prices so you can compare that market with your current market to see what your profit will be? It shows you have data??

Nope, when searching for commodities, that displays the stars themselves as blue diamonds for import prices, and green triangles for export prices.
No symbols ABOVE the stars.

The two posters above you are correct. It is when you add that market for comparison for the commodities market. You must have added that market in the Commodity map view configuration. It stays when you switch to other map views. If you go back to the Commodity map view you can clear it from the pop-up. For the avoidance of doubt, I've just tested it.

Ah, many thanks, Main Sequence! Took a while to find exactly where that toggle button was hiding, but I was able to clear it away.
It looks like what happened was that if you're in a station looking at the commodity market, and switch the "Galactic Average Price" column to a specific market, then the galaxy map will apply the marker symbol. But if you set the comparison column back to galactic average, it does NOT clear the marker from the galaxy map! Since I hadn't set it directly from the galaxy map "commodity" view, I had no idea where it had come from.
Time to report this as a bug, I guess.

I am not sure it is a bug. I expect that I will want to switch back and forth between galactic average and a specific target market on occasion. If it is persistent between markets (set it in one market, fly to another and see it again) it might be helpful loading a big ship to go somewhere you want to sell for BGS purposes.

not a bug, but in need of some additional functionality. like a toggle in the galaxy map or clear selected systems when returning to galaxy average
