What is this underneath the Anaconda

In this snap shot of my battered Anaconda it almost looks like a second cockpit underneath with a glass windscreen, any ideas what it is.

Housing for the huge hardpoint maybe?

I bet that's where all the hull reinforcement packages go. As far from the powerplant as possible.

Asp has a lower deck "viewing platform" cockpit as well.

Yeah it's the observation deck. If you view it in VR you can see all the bulkheads and consoles.

I was thinking the exact same thing the first time I saw the video.

Guess we'll have to wait until we can leave the seat and walk around to find out.

Probably the secondary ship launch/retrieval area, a function of the Anaconda that is advertised as being included but for which we are still waiting for...........

Just how long has it been then? More to the point, how much longer do we have to wait for essential mechanics to be implemented?

The Anaconda docking bay is under the ship behind the huge hardpoint. You can see lead in lights and arrows pointing towards it. I wouldn't exactly call launching a sidy or condor essential

The in-game description begs to differ. There is no excuse for avertised functionity not to be included. Alternatively, edit the in-game blurb to remove references to the secondary ship.
