What is with all of the 'Will You Pay for This' threads. Is FD fishing?

Given the recent rash of 'will you pay for this thing' questions being floated here I just have to wonder if FD is 'testing the waters' so to speak?

I personally wouldn't think they would stoop to using forum members as Marketing Researchers, but well, you never know.

Or am I just being paranoid? :)

Paranoid.
I swear the same 100 people who post in here spend more in the forums then in the game.
They get bored sometimes and have flights of fancy and other non-productive thoughts.
Course I'm on here but bad weather = no internet = no ED. How's that for an excuse?

Haha, that's me. I needed to finish other games up lately, so I've been on a break since the multis came out.


Trust me though, OP. Frontier are probably embarrassed by the goings on in this community sometimes.

It's due to the ending of Season 2, or Horizons. There was such a stink about the pre-orders and all with Horizons people want to preemptively crap on FD. Because, after all, there will still be time later to crap on them, this just expands on an opportunity.

I seriously thought about it, honestly. But then I cannot transfer/image myself into the new game and frankly, I couldn't go through this grind again. It would be too much for me TBH.

EDIT: If I could transfer myself into a new account, I'd use this one for the stuff I do now, and the new account would be for exploring. When I get bored with exploring, I could simply switch accounts and be back in the bubble. For this I would buy a second account. Maybe more, just to have different CMDRs doing different stuff.

I believe your a bit paranoid. Maybe all those making those post could get together and write a big fat check to FDev so it will ease their minds. They appear to have holes burning in their pockets. Must be nice.

OH, and Ive lost a sock or 2 lately as well.

I think you have to weigh other possibilities, such as the forum being jam-packed with lunatics.

Not to worry you only have another 3 or so months of this then comes the inevitable nerf this buff that remove that immersion my fidelity posts when the first Beyond update hits.
