You'd be much better off setting up a poll for people to fill in.
These are the ranks:
Aimless
Mostly Aimless
Scout
Surveyor
Trailblazer
Pathfinder
Ranger
Pioneer
Elite
You forgot - " LOST !!! "
Agreed. I just made Pioneer yesterday by selling 61m of data - I still have 60m to go before Elite, and I think that's about right. It should take time, and I know when I get there I'll have well-and-truly earned it.i think the progression is fine as it is. elite should be difficult to achieve.
I'm about 3% into Ranger and have been since December last year.
I set off on my current expedition in early Jan and am hoping it'll be enough to get me to Elite by the time I return (which may well not be until next year at my rate!).
One big exploration early in 2015 took me straight to Elite. Wish there was some progression beyond that, I'm so bored of this rank.

Ooh, I'd love some bling too. But the moment such things were added, a lot more people would powerlevel their exploration ranks.I'd love prestige-type ranks (like in Call of Duty) that let you unlock something meaningless but cool. At some 600M exploration credits (some of that before the doubling too), I'd be coming up for hitting Elite for the 4th time...
Bout halfway through ranger and think it was way too easy getting there...because I've already got 7 weeks worth scan data right now, I'll be looking at pioneer when I cash in. Should have taken me a lot longer than it has tbh, considering I only started playing the week engineers landed, spending the first few weeks just hauling and being ganked.
Possibly could have made, or be right on the heels of elite if I hadn't suicided with a months worth data a while back to make the SEPP CG. Rank and stats don't really mean that much to me, so I tend not to stress out too much over it, but I know it's a big deal to others ^^
its the last rank which is the hardest
from 58million credits to 160millon, if you can get 160m in 7 weeks of scanning, you have not being doing much in real life, so yes it is balanced!
