I was thinking that as I wrote that post.
Malayan tapirs are my favorite animals in general, so I'm happy that with the recent update I can say that they're my favorite animals in game too!

Elephants are already my favorite animal in general so both species get my vote. Some of my other favorites include the orangutan, all three rhinos (white being my favorite, followed by black and then Indian), malayan tapir (redesigned version), sea lion, platypus, siamang, crested porcupine, Tasmanian devil, sloth bear, and sichuan takin.

Yeah, they’re one of my favorites too.I was thinking that as I wrote that post.
I love wolves and have had them in nearly all my zoos (except the desert and tropical zoos where the poor things bake and don't seem to get to air conditioned indoor areas quickly enough). Also the wild dogs, dholes, and other canines. I know many people feel we have more than enough "dogs" in our zoos, but I love designing large naturalistic habitats for them and watching the pups play.

Just one? So many wonderful animals in this game but if I had to choose just one it would be Przewalski Horse. And so many that are really close second place 
hmm, it's really hard to choose. I like rhinos in general (hence my profile pic), so probably the southern white rhino, but the Eurasian wild boar, all eight species of bear, and the great apes will all be my favourites in the game and real life.
I can't decide on just one, but to name a few of my favourites I would say Somali Wild Ass, Red River Hog and Wild Boar, Siamang and California Sea Lion, but it feels like my top 5 always changes.

Hard to pick but Przewalski's horse has to be my top choice.
Honorable mentions go to the Sichuan takin, Somali wild ass, Red river hog, European fallow deer, Nile lechwe, Lar gibbon, North Island brown kiwi, Red-crowned crane, Mute swan,... VERY hard for me to pick a second choice.

I don't have a favourite animal per se, but Indian Elephants first made me fell in love with the game the most. The sound range between indoor and outfoor habitat blew me away.
