General / Off-Topic What is your favorite UFO

This:

Spaceship.jpg

The ship from the latest series of Cosmos.

The Sith was not just a wuss that got his behind handed over by the very first woman he saw, which never used a blade afore, on top, he was as scary (and this is a MUST for a sith) as My Li'll Pony.

But but...

Who said he was a Sith????

You missed that?
It was said.
And he was a mere apprentice, STILL.
The Fonz said, he'd complete the Crusader Sword Wielding Idiot's training, even?

I am with the OP as far as UFO's go. With the ship from Flight of the Navigator being in a class all of it's own - that was more than just a UFO.
However I am reminded of the UFO's in another, I think '70s TV series. They were tear shaped and made a good noise. Can't remember the name and googling isn't helping. There were two aliens undercover on earth who looked like men but could do stuff like jump really high. Anyway the spaceships were cool.... erm...

while searching for your teardrop spacecraft, I bumped into... a "Wiener-And-Balls Vessel"...
No kidding, check for yourself:

Are we running out on imagination?
What'll be next?

@RGconnor: YOU, Sir, have splendid taste!
Lockheed SR71A... my favvy plane, together with the F14 Tomcat-Grumman.
But before the F14, the SR71A.
SR71B was an ugly one with the double cockpit, hence specified A.
The Blackbird still holds records.
Go figure.
The diamond is 50 years old.

Knew Lockheed is building an SR72?
Can't wait to see this thing...

PS: This "hyper-secret" airpla... wait, secret?
The whole bloody planet knows about it, how so: secret?

PPS: What if they turned it into an Air-to-Air fighter?
It could i think outrun virtually any missile, while engaging at Mach5, with small self-guided missiles as weapon systems.
The enemy would not even see it and still die.

PPPS: Stealth, the movie: F/A37 Talon:
A fictive but nice lookin' plane:

And it's successor: EDI: also nice looking

They sure had a nifty form.
And quite deadly, as well.

Wanted to post a Borg Cube, or Diamond, but these are so well known even my great-grand-grand-grand children know them, so I'll save up the bandwith/space. XD

I grew up near Moffatt Naval Base and had many family members and friends parents work at Lockheed in it's heyday. P-3 Orions and U-2 research planes flew over the house every day. Dad worked on the P-3s in the early 70s.

The YF-12A was the combat prototype. I had a few artistic renderings of it in the 80s, while it was not still widely known about.
One of my friends had a very coveted model of it, that was given to members of the project teams.
