MY favourite:

Krait Mk-II C-TIJ Xeno's Paradox.
CFB2DDAA906C0321257F5D1EC69F55D5F509E8B5

This ship is a wonder.
Before I tried the Krait, I'd been a confirmed Python man for mid-range combat/multirole. The Python is a superb platform - solid and versatile. The Krait is less versatile; but FAR more aggressive. Faster, more manoeuverable, she's a Python with the civility and politeness taken away.

THIS Krait - registered C-TIJ at the Montreal shipyards of Faucon DeLacey - initially was bought new to hunt Thargoids during the heavy incursions last year. She did not fare particularly well; though that was the fault of her Commander. Xeno's Paradox served faithfully as a Scout-buster in numerous NHSS battles; always bringing her less-than-experienced Commander home; no matter how badly damaged she was.

Now, with the Thargoid threat largely in remission, Xeno's Paradox serves as a heavy multirole platform serving her Commander while he - reluctantly - rises through the ranks of the Empire.
While the intent has always been to gain a Cutter so that I can own all of the Big Three, I'm now somewhat ambivalent. Oh - the Cutter will be a fine ship and I've got a name picked out, but NOTHING can match the pure, unadulterated joy of flying Xeno's Paradox.
She has every module upgraded to G5; she has three of these:
iVOHv.jpg

...and two of these:
GAU_19A_GECAL_50_2.jpg

...both G5.

She has heavy armour, the strongest shields available, top-rank engines and power.

She is amazing.

Xeno's Paradox is by FAR the best ship I've managed to create in ED; she fits into my hand and flies like an extension of my thoughts - just like a good aircraft should. She is tough, stable, forgiving, aggressive and deadly. She has triumphed in both PvE and PvP combat; she is flexible, fast and strong. She has killed pirates, bounty hunters, player Gankers and duelists.
Xeno's Paradox is, to my mind, the BEST ship in ED and though I know some factions offer better weapons and stronger defences (which I'm now pursuing), I know I'll never let my hulking, stoop-shouldered nightmare of arms and armour slide into obscurity.

Your turn!

Favorite ship: Beluga !

Because its the best and nothing can compare. Its extremely versatile. Great handling, great speed, great view. Plus it looks and sounds great.

Its got tons (literally) of hull, 5 medium weapons, rams things into oblivion, and looks great while doing it

Favorite module: Bi-weave shields and/or hull reinforcement packages

Favorite system: Carcosa
Favorite faction: The Nameless

Favorite weapon: Seeker missles/railguns because they are cool

Post your build?

I like the Krait and would be interested in a good build.
Sure, but before I do, a couple of caveats:
First, when I speak in glowing terms about Xeno's Paradox, note that it's the pride of an owner/pilot - not necessarily the belief that she is actually the best ship in the galaxy. It's a statement of affection; not fact.
Also, be aware that in her current configuration she is set up for the multirole duties I am right now undertaking for the Empire - not dedicated combat. She can haul some, has decent range and economy, hits hard, moves fast and spins like a dancer for a ship her size. I'm well aware she's not a dedicated combat platform.
Be aware also that weaponry is hotly debated here on the Forums; this platform is built around a full multigun loadout - others may prefer energy or missile weapons.
All that said, here is the build for Xeno's Paradox.

Favourite ship:
Anaconda

Why? Because it's so versatile. I can go mining (core), exploration, combat and cargo hauling.
2nd in line are on par, Cutter and corvette for laser mining/Cargo and combat.

Fav System: LHS 538

Fav weapon: Rail gun (I still suck with them)
Fav module: FSD
Fav mission: I'm a merconary, throw heaps of money my way with the least amount of effort and that's my fav mission. Used to be wing assassination mission, but since the pay got gimped, it's not worth the effort anymore.

Favorite ship:
Krait MKII

I love my Krait a bunch too. She was my first "real" ship after the Cobra. It's the sheer versatility that sets her apart.
Not to mention the devastation she can deal. It's also worth noting that she's the META AntiXeno ship for a while now.
From what I've read at least.

Her loadout pretty much represents all my other favorite in-game stuffz. I stayed low on some grades for weight savings.
I like her fast and nimble.

Favourite ship: Imperial Cutter.

Favourite station: Leonard Nimoy Station in LHS 3006.

Favourite ice-cream flavour: Ben & Jerry's Chunky Monkey (what, you didn't know the Cutter comes with an ice cream dispenser?).

Favourite weapon: Class 4 Multi-Cannon, engineered to G5 Overcharged and Corrosive.

Favourite: Period in the game.....

Just after Jaques Station was found.
Heading over to the region (@ 1000LY plotting max), then working with other cmdr's doing what we could try, hoping to get the Station operating again. Waiting in anticipation for the Thursday morning tick, to see what had changed, then trying again. Gradually it worked & things started to happen....met up with some good cmdr's.:)

Worst: Period in the game.....

IMO, what FD did with the expansion of the Region.....Colonisation by a group popularity method, excluded many of us 'Independent Pilots' that could be bothered to go there in the first place & make many trips back & forth from the bubble, getting the Station operational:mad::mad:

Favourite ship: toss up between the Cobra Mk3, and the iCourier - I can't believe I spent 4 years ignoring this little ship until now. What an eye opener - combat ready 670m/s boost and flies like a dream. Love it.

Favourite moments: when you do whatever you do, and then, out of nowhere, a beautiful vista (sunrise planetside, asteroid belt, etc. etc.) presents itself to you, completely distracting you from doing whatever in-game task you were performing. Combine with the sporadic awesome music and it's goosebumps time.

At the moment it is the Conda, strip mining and still heavy hitter if need be. Love bounty hunting with 5A collector limpets active, spares a couple of Dav's hope running in circles.

Your favourite ship.
  • Zorgon Peterson Adder
  • Faulcon DeLacy Krait Mk II
  • Gutamaya Clipper

Adder was my very first ship after Sidewinder (nostalgia mode: on). At first it felt strange driving on right but it quickly reminded me boat I used to operate sometimes.
Krait took over Python. Putting short - I went from Adder to DBX, then ASP, next was Anaconda, step down to Python which felt as perfect balance between size and capabilities. Then Krait came and it felt bit more fitting my personal preference despite Python having sliughtly better fitting.
Clipper, been hesitating with Cutter but Clipper handles far better. Marked as L ship but we all know it's regular M ship that was wrongly categorized due to other dev made hangar 5 cm too small.

Your favourite module.
- largest A-rated FSD that fits my current ship along with biggest Guardian FSD booster

No need to explain, more range, more space to visit in shorter time.

Your favourite mission.
- simple A-B delivery

Back in my combat times (X-Wing/TIE, Freespace) I wished for something more than shooting. So when ED offered civilian delivery job, commodity trading I was more than happy. Brain dead, simple mission to pick up, fly and unload so I can focus on piloting alone. Perform smooth take off, slowly float off of the station, plot course, execute and perform perfect landing. Almost like flight simulator but with cargo and in space.

Your favourite weapon.
- none, flying as a trucker/explorer

Your favourite system.
Thaileia MY-Q c21-27

My "own" system, nothing special but very first I discovered which was pristine. Earth Like, 2x Water worlds, single landable moon. Plus bit of dull space rocks. All discovered first by me. All scanned first by me. Later, with new exploration mechanic, all mapped first by me. If we ever get planetary landing I want this ELW to be my first to land on.

Your favourite faction.
- none, acting as a freelancer

Your favorite ... thing.
- outfitting ship to meet the role

Seriously, this is great. One hull, some free module slots to fill with various things which alter ships behavior. Seeing ship isn't immediate: oh, this one is easy for it's a cargo hauler or avoid that for it's a heavy gunboat. Fitting can drastically change the ship's role.

Tho I wish we could take it further - ships are indeed empty hulls and it is modules that define role alone. This way I could make FDL a deep space long range explorer after removing weapon slots to exchange for exploration stuff. Or arm T-9 to the teeth (I know, we have T-10), or...

Favourite Engineer base - Wyrd....or is it Deciat? No, definitely Wyrd. Every time I come out of the hanger in VR and see the star rising above the craters with Wyrd A1 also lingering in view I stop and soak in the view. Deciat is also pretty funky but I don’t stop and soak in any views in Deciat anymore💀

Favourite thing about the game; it’s ability to surprise, engage and bring me joy just as I’m beginning to feel dispirited or disengaged. Many things have supplied this; a view, a sense of scale, an npc’s daft name, flying through a star in VR when coming out of witchspace, crashing into Elvira’s place and losing all my data on the way back from my first trip to Beagle (I forgot to turn my modules back on, so no distributor and no shields.) Being pirated by a brilliantly funny RP’ing Cmdr, which leads to the final and best example...the community you can meet - whether it’s those you meet on something like DW2 (or Distant Ganks for the less exploration minded) or those who will help you spend a week of your life driving around a planet. Just like the real world Galaxy it’s full of weirdos and nut jobs and it’s all the better for it.

* Just to balance the flavours this thread will need some salt, so .... Fleet Carriers/2020. Grrrrr. Etc etc etc.;)

Favourite Weapon...

Pack Hounds - as each volley (G5 High Capacity) just makes me smile as a multitude of smokey trails fills my view :)

Have to go with @Rick6549 with Carcosa as favourite system, Robardin Rock always feels welcoming on approach, comfy - like one's favourite slippers...

Favourite thingy : Hiding behind asteroids in Has res while using Fa-off and listening to the angry npcs shooting the roid
