What is your favourite...anything?

Overcharged frag cannons.
"Hmm, I'm having trouble cracking this walnut" fetches sledgehammer.

Last night was an example of another thing though. Flying back from completing a mission whilst the sun was setting on the moon, whilst simultaneously going behind the nearby ringed gas giant. Nearly 2 years in and views still give me reason to pause what I'm doing at times.

Favorite ship= cobra3 (prometheus)
Favorite system= sol. Home is where the heart is.
Favorite mission= no longer availiable. There use to be local herald news articles in the system news tab. There was an article saying that an undercover agent had gone missing and gave last known coords. Youd got to system scan a coms beacon and receive a msg giving a system name then youd go there and would find an unauthorised installation with an occupied escape pod inside. You would have to work out how to get in and rescue him. Top mission

Favourite Beluga: I.K.Brunel
EFgKD-tXUAA16oD

Your favourite ship - Dolphin
Your favourite module - Seismic charges :(
Your favourite mission. - S&R although they're a bit dry at the minute and pay peanuts
Your favourite weapon. - Plasma accelerator also not available in class 1 :(
Your favourite system. - the 1st planetary Nebula i found, (it has an uninteresting name)
Your favourite faction. - None

Ship: Adder - explorer, fighter and full of character

Weapon: Shock cannon. Not as good as mc for prolonged use, but 3x C3 on my Krait shred anything that dares to interrupt my mission

Event: Lugh War. Probably the first major event in ED (similar to Interstellar Initiatives) but largely player inspired and driven, and there was more community involvement. I was one of the original CSG members so may be a little biased ;)

Also the original Distant Worlds. All the way to BP in an Asp with only 32ly jump range

Okay ill try.

Your favourite ship: Its changed as time goes by but today... Type-10. Id have to add the type-7 and dolphin too. All 3 of those ships i completely hated when i first tried them, so that must be it.
Your favourite module: Supercruise assist. Great for stations.
Your favourite mission: Ground salvage (the basic ones where you pick up canisters. most immersive in the game).
Your favourite weapon: Depends on the distributor.
Your favourite system: Some of mine of course! Hip 2902, Hip 3304, and not mine but still good: Chertan. I like Low sec ones because you pick up crime missions from them (just pay off the bounty when you get back).
Your favourite faction: Alliance. Once you've done the rep grinds for the other 2, they're boring. Definitely not the feds. Absolutely not the feds.

Favourite weapon.

Rails. The most satisfying weapon to use. When it works, with super penetrator effect, seeing your enemie's modules go do to zero real fast is really nice.

Favourite module.

Guardian frame shift booster. Not for exploring, but to bring at decent jump ranges some kind of ships ( T9 at full load for example, or Phytons )

Favourite system.

I guess Sol. I sometime come back just to give a look.

Favourite mission.

Anything that brings me on the surface of planets and make me use the SRV.

Favourite faction.

I'd say Empire.

Favourite anything:

Federal Sniggering Missions.

There is literally nothing better in the whole galaxy than Federal Sniggering Missions.

You'll need a python or an imperial chopper decked out for mining

Take it to Sol

Take it to Uranus

Cautiously manoeuvre your python or chopper into the ring around Uranus, and get pounding and grinding away until you hit paydirt.

Frankly, favourite thing in this game? Uranus, period.

I still think there should be an achievement for probing uranus😂

One of my favourite things in ED are the little stories - the small, subtle things that tell you you aren't alone in this big Galaxy.
Like this - I just came across it while mineralizing:
6827E22A20D6AC4EA0A3D59B323F92FD21DB5079

Poor guy. He lost a fight to some skimmers - he got one; its wreck is just behind me. But the others took him out. There are way too many canisters around for that SRV; no escape pod either.
What happened here? Was he a good guy or a bad guy? Did he run upon a smuggling point? Pirates? Who knows?

Each one of these little scenes tells a story - a tragedy that happened in the past. Finding a wreck like this is sobering, thought-provoking. It makes us remember how dangerous space can be. It is by far one of my favourite aspects of ED.

o7 Commander - whoever you were.

Favorite ship: Fer-De-Lance. It's a sleek body strapped to two giant thrusters with a gigantic gun. What's not to love.
Your favourite module: Collector limpet controller. I like hearing the sounds of those small robots doing my work for me.
Your favourite mission: I like most that require planetside activity.
Your favourite weapon: Size 4 multi-cannons of course. Thum-thum-thum-thum-thum!
Your favourite system: Any you find when exploring with a good view landed, the sensation of solitude is magnificent.
Your favourite faction: Any without slavery.

Runner-up is the Asp explorer. It is a magnificent experience to explore with an Asp Explorer in VR.

What does that make the dolphin then 🤔

(Its got the same thrusters as the fdl)

I made a quick vid to show another of my absolute favourite things in ED:
That gorgeous boom when a VO core blows.

Enjoy! :D

Hmm. That’s a toughie.
favorite ship: Federal Corvette. Only because I like the big long bow out in front of your view and watching the bow thrusters fire while maneuvering. My AspX has by far the most time in the seat tho.
favorite module: guess it’s probably task dependent because some things you just can’t live without. But current favorite to use is probably the seismic charge launcher. Something satisfying about sticking an asteroid with charges and watching it go boom.
favorite mission: for me the most engaging one is pirate assassination missions. Most other things are just fetch quests.
favorite weapon: plasma accelerator. Really satisfying to land a shot with one and watch their shields just blink out.
favorite system: forget the name of it now, just a string of numbers and letters like a lot of them. But I was first to discover a system with 50+ bodies. Several water worlds and a 49 Earth mass ammonia world. Plus a couple of cool stars in it in a nebula.
favorite faction: The Dark Wheel. The real one. When I find them that is :p

Discovering something new and cool. Exploration has been my main focus although i do other things as well. Being way out and finding a really interesting system that no one else has been to and sticking my name on it is satisfying. Or back when we were hunting for thargoid bases, being there when a new one was found was also a lot of fun.

Favorite Ship: Orca
Favorite Weapon: Plasma Accelerator
Favorite Planet Type: Water World
Favorite Approach Angle: 42 degrees
Favorite Direction to wander aimlessly: Counter-clockwise
Favorite Fine: Littering
Favorite Cargo Item to Litter With: Toxic Waste
