What is your favourite shipbuilder?

Hello!
The question is about your favourite shipbuilder; not neccessarily the best or strongest.
I personally am a HUGE fan of Lakon Spaceways.

Their ships are tough and no-nonsense flying machines.
Lakon builds its ships around a concept of versatility and rugged performance. From the sprightly Diamondback above to the massive Defender, Lakon ships are dependable, reliable machines capable of fulfilling any role - and while they can't carry out multirole duties like some other ships, Lakon vessels do their specific tasks with confident, easy capability.
Unique to Lakon vessels, the big glassed-in canopy offers unparalleled visibility and wonderful views.
While not the fastest, toughest or strongest ships around, Lakon vessels are rugged, capable and engaging ships easy to fall in love with.

I've owned and flown every vessel in the Lakon line, not one have I found to be particularly lacking.
My personal favourites are the DBX as a first-class Explorer, the Keelback as a surprisingly deadly armed freighter and superb core miner and the Type-10 because it's the freakin' Defender! Gigantic, heavy, the T-10 is Lakon's whopping huge middle finger to the legendary Anaconda. LOL

I nominate Lakon Spaceways as the best Shipbuilder. Lakon ships aren't pretty, but have a solid, stately grace, superb reliability, excellent visibility and a major 'cool' factor.
Your turn! :D

Cheers!

I have no preference as I own and like ships from every company except zorgon peterson. I own none of those.
I had an annie for twenty minutes, worst ship I couldn't get rid of fast enough.

Core Dynamics
All their ships are fun to fly. Especially the Vulture, FAS and FDS are very, very good ships (for me).

But I like Lakon and DeLacy too. Both have very useful and good ships in their lineup. DBX, DBS and the Krait II and Phantom. And the T-6 and T-7 - nice shoe boxes :)

Oh; I absolutely LOVE my CD Corvette - got her tricked out for ballistic smackery with beam, missile and torp variants on standby. You talk about a beast that can do it all...in the pounding department anyway lol. Overall though, when considering companies; I think Lakon has the best range of simple, capable vessels on the market. :)

Well, the Mamba's TONS of fun. Given the choice, in that weight range I'd go with the Python though.

Honestly, I had to launch coriolis.io, sort by manufacturer to see which ship is whose. Then I had to run down the contest which ship I like and how many votes goes to who. Here it is:

1-10 scale
1 is very not like
10 is very like

Core Dynamics:
Eagle; 1
Federal Assault Ship; 1
Federal Corvette; 8
Federal Dropship; 1
Federal Gunship; 7
Vulture; 6

Faulcon DeLacy:
Anaconda; 9
Cobra Mk III; 3
Cobra Mk IV; 1
Krait Mk II; 10
Krait Phantom; 8
Python; 8
Sidewinder; 1
Viper; 3
Viper Mk IV; 1

Gutamaya:
Imperial Clipper; 9
Imperial Courier; 8
Imperial Cutter; 10
Imperial Eagle; 4

Lakon:
Alliance Challenger; 1
Alliance Chieftain; 4
Alliance Crusader; 1
Asp Explorer; 8
Asp Scout; 1
Diamondback Explorer; 10
Diamondback Scout; 1
Keelback; 1
Type-10 Defender; 1
Type-6 Transporter; 5
Type-7 Transporter; 4
Type-9 Heavy; 6

Saud Kruger:
Beluga Liner; 1
Dolphin; 1
Orca; 1

Zorgon Peterson:
Adder; 10
Fer-de-Lance; 8
Hauler; 1
Mamba; 8

Cumulated score

Core Dynamics: 24
Faulcon DeLacy: 44
Gutamaya: 31
Lakon: 43
Saud Kruger: 3
Zorgon Peterson: 27

Of course this means nothing since Lakon overshadows Saud Kruger 4:1 in ship models quantity so I had to "equalize" the results. Cumulated score divided by ships in offer. So teh final results are:

1st place and gold medal: Gutamaya with 7.75
2nd place and silver medal: Zorgon Peterson with 6.75
3rd place and bronze medal: Core Dynamics: 6

4th. Faulcon DeLacy: 4.88
5th. Lakon: 3.58
6th. Saud Kruger: 1

Honestly, bit surprised with 3rd and 4th place, thought it would be inversly. Well, probably due to Faulcon having more ships I don't like which dragged the score down. But 1st and 2nd places are exactly as I feel.

If Faulcon didn't have the Kraits, it wouldn't be even close, but Lakon still wins overall. Nice, cool running ships with often amazing cockpit views. To be fair, they all have something I like. Core has those maneuverable slabs of armor. Jump range and hull tank approach used to be a little off-putting, but Guardian components have a nack of turning bad to mediocre. Now I even enjoy flying the piggies from time to time. Gutamaya has most stylish, if very intense ships. Good change of pace for my usual methods and a challenge to build them to my liking. Saud Kruger is a bit like wannabe Gutamaya, but they have an added air of reliability with them. Zorgon Peterson is most "meh" for me, but I do have the Mamba.

Also thought about theocrafting :D Then it'd be http://edsy.org (great new features like material planner for engineering).

1. FauIcon deLacy's - the Anaconda is still a classic, most used ship for me. Also the Cobra.
2. Lakon Spaceways for their Asp Explorer - really liked that ship, though don't use it that often anymore.

I have to be honest here, I probably couldn't say which manufacturer made which ship, I just buy and fly the ships that interest me and ignore the ones that don't

In b4 Rick...

Saud Kruger.

Amazing ships - as agile as a ship one size class smaller, tough, sleek, great base paint, fantastic view, well armed for luxury craft, and just as capable as anything else out there.
