What kind of limpets does one use when scooping stuff in space

Hi Commanders hope you'll having a good day. Anyways I'm getting some materials in high emmions sites in space and want to know what kind of limpets you use to scoop up them up the materials with. This will be in space of course ik its not fuel transfer limpets, rescue limpets and ik its not the and repair ones...........is there another to use to scoop up stuff in space um haven't used them in quite a while so I'm not to sure guys and gals hope you can help...thanks all.

Yes, you need a "Collector limpet controller", then don't forget to buy the limpets.

If you have nothing targeted when you launch a Limpet it will keep flying for a few minutes, bringing back anything it can find in range.
If you have something targeted the Limpet will just collect that one thing and then die... but it will fly much faster.

Also, you can have as many limpets as will fit in your cargo bay, but the controller can only have up to three flying at one time.

Three collector limpets from a class 5 collector limpet controller. There is a special one that you can get called an operations multi limpet controller that gives 4 limpets from a class 3C one. I've used one for mining, but not scavenging, so I'm not sure what version you need. Three limpets is normally enough for scavenging USSs.

I got my multi limpet controller from Shinrarta Dezhra. I don't knw how common they are elsewhere.

Max amount of active limpets depends on the size of the controller:

size 1 = 1
size 3 = 2
size 5 = 3
size 7 = 4

Both mining and operations MLC can handle collectors; mining adds prospectors, operations adds hatchbreakers and recon (hacking)

Also note, you don't have to use limpits as you can manually scoop up items. It is harder and more time consuming but still, is an option if you don't have a collector fitted at the time.
