How can you miss Metal in all its wonderful forms from your poll?
Does this mean I have to select Other? You really expect bands like Iron Maiden, Def Leppard, and other awesomesauce to be classed as other? Where do Pink Floyd, Fleetwood Mac, or Led Zepplin fit on your list eh? Nowhere!

Well, Metal is a form of rock, so I thought you could vote for that and then elaborate in a post. I didn't want to bombard the poll with too many choices or sub-genres, so I more or less generalized genres and then left it open for people to share their favorite artists. I love Maiden, Metallica, Megadeth, Black Sabbath, etc., but I didn't want to put up more genres than I felt necessary.
No offence intended - honest - but what a strange looking list! I understand what you're saying about not overloading it with sub-genres, but, well, to an ex musician it just doesn't scan.

Creepy is a disturbing sort of way.
I play myself, but I was trying to capture the most popular/renowned genres to get a general feel. Sorry if it seems scattered. In the States, Rock/Pop/Hip Hop/Country are the biggest. Electronic/House isn't as big here as it is in Europe... yet.
