What makes the Vulture so good?

I'm thinking of getting a Vulture for RES / beacon work. I see loads of posts lauding the Vultures omnipotence but can anyone elaborate on why its so effective?

Is it mainly for 'conda slaying? Or does it dominate all types / sizes of ship?

Any tips on load spec or how to make best use of it?

2 large hardpoints. U don't get any damage penalty against larger ships.

And this is right. Combat spacecraft supposed to be well armed and dangerous for larger ships.
This open new possibilities with new spacecraft. Like example: Gun boats, Frigates, Heavy combat spacecraft and etc.

Sure. Okay for under 20 million you can pretty easily 1v1 against any NPC ship.
Pulse lasers, shield boosters.
B or C thrusters. B shields.

Mine has 16 cargo slots once I get to a good system for smuggling and bounty hunting or just doing missions. That is hauler levels of cargo. You can do RES with that load out too.

If you fly a viper do not fly a vulture like the Viper. With the Vulture get super close and use your agility to keep on their aft, unlike the Viper who relies on speed.
Your lasers will kill most eagles and sidewinders in under 12 fires. Often when doing the ship jousting against an eagle I kill the Eagle on the first pass without effort.

High intensity conflict zones are doable but not as profitable.

It is easy to fly. Price is great for performance. But beware, it has tendency to make you lazy pilot since it is very forgiving to flight mistakes.

Nothing. It's a good beginner ship for affordable 5 million Cr.

Once you are used to better ships, the Vulture feels weak.

I thought this was pretty well known by now

Plus points:
Turns like a housefly
Very good shields
2 Class 3 hard points

Downsides:
Power constrained - compromises needed
Actually fairly slow
Small, can't mass lock your target/get mass locked by others
Not great jump range but certainly not awful

If you want more firepower and protection, you will sacrifice alot of jump range. I settled for B thrusters, and a B shield to fit an A class FSD. I am still able to equip a B Shield booster and burst lasers so its not all bad.

Keeping KW scanners and sensors low grade helps too.

Lol! Sorry! Its the first one I've opened but fair comment there are a lot of them!
I did try searching them before starting another but couldn't quite find the detail I was looking for.

There are dozens of vulture topics and you couldn't find what are you looking for? LOL :)

Oversided weapons (no damage penalty vs large ships) for its hull mass, very high maneuverability, and a potential for very high shields for its class (I am running around with 645 MJ, more is possible). 18.5 million buys you a top of the line kit, so has very cheap insurance rebuy, about 900k. Reasonable jump range, unlike the FDL. Presents quite a small target for how tanky, maneuverable, and powerful the ship is.

The FDL will kill it, but given the price difference, it is kind of amazing how close the fight is. The vulture definitely punches well above its weight class.
