What new places are you hoping there's maps and scenery for in JWE3?

We know of Japan, Hawaii, Clark County [Las Vegas] (scenery in Deluxe edition), a Mediterranean map, and possibly Montana Badlands (scenery in Badlands Pack/Preorder, Alpine in reality, Desert in the film location).

Based on the graphic that moves between Asia and America, there also seems to be a Chinese map.

At the moment it looks like it could be 2 maps per continent, assuming worldwide is literal, counting Hawaii as Oceania. JWE2 launched with 14 maps, but with story and potentially scenery tied to each, it's significantly more work, so probably under 10 altogether. Taiga isn't represented yet, so there could be a Nordic country involved.

Savanna/Tropic Dry biome would probably be shown if a thing, but it'd definitely be a good one to get someday.

Edit: And of course various maps get revealed the minute I post. Including Northern Italy (probably Biosyn valley), the Azores, China & New Guinea

So far, I believe the locations confirmed are:
  1. Italy (Possibly Biosyn Sanctuary)
  2. Malta
  3. Azores (Portugal)
  4. Indonesia
  5. Japan
  6. China
  7. Nevada
  8. Montana
  9. Hawaii

There is a 10th location for the campaign and I wonder what that would be, most likely a return to Isla Nublar where this whole franchise started. Whatever it is, it may be unlocked as the final park to build on, so no matter which location you tackle in whatever order, this map is the last one.

The game also mentions challenge mode, so I am curious to know if there will be any locations exclusive there, akin to how JWE2 has locations exclusive to challenge mode as well.

We also have these locations in JWE2:
  1. Arizona
  2. Biosyn Sanctuary* (Could be returning as the Italy location) (DLC)
  3. California
  4. Canada
  5. Germany
  6. Isla Nublar 1993
  7. Isla Nublar 2015
  8. Isla Sorna: Site B
  9. Northwestern USA
  10. Oregon
  11. Pennsylvania
  12. San Albertus Peninsula (DLC)
  13. San Marie Bay (DLC)
  14. Santaegidius Island (DLC)
  15. San Diego
  16. Sierra Nevada (DLC)
  17. Southwest USA
  18. United Kingdom
  19. Washington State

JWE2 is really impressive for the fact that they included quite a number of varied maps around launch period. 14 of which are from the base game, but slowly would be accessible over time via updates for custom challenge mode and sandbox mode, some with variations such as flat options or prebuilt locations. So far, Italy and Malta are returning locations if they are based on the Biosyn Sanctuary and Malta locations, which leaves 14 distinct locations to make a comeback in JWE2, be it for the final campaign location, challenge mode, or additional maps in sandbox mode.

Lastly, I want to share the locations from the original JWE1 game:
  1. Isla Matenceros
  2. Isla Muerta
  3. Isla Tacano
  4. Isla Pena
  5. Isla Sorna
  6. Isla Nublar
  7. Muerta East
  8. Tacano Research Facility
  9. Nublar North
  10. Sanctuary
  11. Isla Nublar 1993
  12. Isla Sorna 1993

It becomes very apparent how similar these maps are from one another after 2 sequels. All of them tropical maps with slightly different small flora, time settings, and weather to seperate them apart.

I made a post back saying I have excitement that we might go back to the Muertes archipelago in JWE3, while that excitement is still true, I do think we may not go back to these islands. Most likely it is referential to the Isla Nublar and Sorna islands we are accustomed to so far. I would love the chance to do a retro island hopping of the original game's locations again as it would be a great nostalgic trip to remind us how far we have come since 2018. If I were to include any of the DLC maps, I would be happy with Sanctuary island. It could very well not be a real canon location in the Jurassic World Canon, but the map was always a favorite of mine in the original game. Then again, all of these locations are pretty similar to each other anyway.

That is it for the locations that could come back. But if I were to suggest any additional locations....

Siberia
I read how Ingen's last facility was Martel, which was stationed in Siberia. The focus from what I gathered was to research and gather data of Pleistocene epoc animals. So it may not be a location available now, but if Frontier were to do a Cenozoic dedicated expansion in the future of JWE3, this could be a nice location that would be a nod to that facility.

Senegal
A location from Jurassic World Chaos Theory that was wholly unique to the show. The location has some wildlife reserves in it and could be a nice spot to create a Savannah/wetland location that is based in Africa. We could also use this to play the role of doing experimental dinosaurs

Saudi Arabia / United Arab Emirates
Both of these locations are part of the Domion movie and Chaos Theory show, and both of these countries are growing tourism spots. I could imagine that there would be the prospect of setting up a jurassic world/park there, plus it would be nice new desert additions.

Colombia
I would love to build a park that is set in central and or southern America, and Columbia may not have a direct part of the Jurassic Lore from what I know, BUT, they just recently had the Jurassic World Experience a few months back. The location does have beautiful scenes and it would be nice to set up a park there.

Australia
Lastly, I would love the chance to build a park is Australia. JWE2 brought some love to the continent with the additions of Minmi, Austrelovenator, and Kronosaurus, and if new additions are to be made, I would love to showcase these animals in Australia itself. Plus, there a ton of biomes to choose from, so it would be fun to see what location and boom Frontier would choose for an Australian map.

The list above basically covers some dream locations I would like to see in JWE3. If JWE3 were to actually bring back fan favorite locations from JWE1+2, it would be the ultimate Jurassic Park builder, one that really emphasizes the WORLD the franchise is boosting. Being able to set up a park over these locations would really be amazing, as the sheer global reach and variety would make park building in this game excellent.

Hmm... if they did do an Australia park, I'd hope they'd include it in the potential Cenozoic pack... Mesozoic Australia has a few good options, but the Pleistocene has a lot of truly unique choices:
  • Procoptodon
  • Diprotodon
  • Thylacoleo
  • Meiolania
  • Varanus priscus, aka Megalania
  • Thylacinus, aka the Tazmanian Tiger, which was alive and well alongside the animals mentioned above...

On top of this there are still plenty of Australian dinosaurs to fill out a dlc with.
Leaellynasaura - The one and only tailboi.
Diamantinasaurus - The sauropod whose remains were found from the same site as Austalovenator.
Timimus - a basal tyrannosauroid, from the same formation as Leaellynasaura.
Ozraptor - a potential Jurassic abelisauroid

Ozraptor and Timimus are singular bones bordering on dubious. Serendipaceratops, Kakuru & Rapator are similar in this regard, all having various taxonomic placements over time, potentially subject to change (Rapator as a giant Alvarezsaur is an interesting historical reconstruction).

Steropodon might be interesting, though that also goes for other Mesozoic mammals like Repenomamus, Castorocauda, Didelphodon & Vintana, which the game isn't really meant for.

There is still diversity outside of land species, Koolasuchus is pretty notable, and Umoonasaurus is a little interesting with the potential crests.

All the Australian named Pterosaurs are pretty closely related to the Cearadactylus, Maaradactylus & Tropeognathus. I reckon Aussiedraco might be the best choice available, lacking a crest on the underside of the jaw, & being smaller than them.

I have this sneaking suspicion that savanna is growing to be a highly requested tileset just like wetlands/swamps. Based on the Campaign locations I am willing to bet we will get an expansion down the line that may let us fill in the gaps of South America, Australia, and Africa using savanna and maybe wetlands along with some species from those regions. I actually think we may see some species chopped in these regions since there are DLC plans on the roadmap and they'll re-add them in a free update to correspond with the expansion's release.

I hope that we get at least 4 maps of each biome because it will be impossible to put all dinosaurs in one map.
This way I can pretend as if it's one park, consisting of 4-5 maps that bring the same biome but different surroundings.
It was perfect in JWE 2 with maps such as Nublar 93/2015, Isla Sorna and the square map.
I also want a Nublar version including a Jurassic World Gate but with the opportunity to turn it off by choosing the flattened version just like in JWE 2.
