Agreed, would also like to see any aurora simulation. We have star flares that are an addidtional effect that extend beyond the spherical boundary, so presumably aurora could be implemented with not too much added programing. +1 to this idea too

Seriously, I asked about comets during the beta and was told they were already in the game, just not "turned on" so that we could see them yet. And here we are, eight months or so after release, and they are still "turned off"? Honestly, my sad suspicion at this point is that they were never there to begin with, and this response back then was just a line to keep drumming up interest. Which frankly causes me to worry about what other promises were just lines to keep us interested.
