WRT to the original post - I sometimes play another game alongside Elite while exploring. My laptop is an antique, and running Linux, and I need to be able to work on it at the same time (logging discoveries and programming) but it can just about manage to run NWS' "Rule the Waves" in WINE which makes a good way to while away the time spent in frameshift between jumps. I've always been fascinated by the evolution of warships of that period (blame an early exposure to a set of Top Trumps cards); as it happens it makes an interesting point of comparison to the (very static) ship development in Elite.

As far as other games; Fallout 4, which I bought over Christmas and which turns out to be surprisingly good. Euro Truck Simulator 2. The usual enormous Steam backlog. I was playing Overwatch heavily, but I've kinda lost interest for the moment.

I actually play BF1, Titanfall for my FPS action (COD died a long time ago for me) i also play FIFA, F1 and Forza for my sports sims. But ED takes up most of my time. Edit: Also occasionly play fallout. And when on PC i play total war.
