What possibly the community challenge reward be?

I know the treat will be secret till the very day, but what do you think it would be? Some amount of leafy conservation points? Exclusive little statue? A tiger hat for your avatar?

They said in some behind the scenes video that "You will be able to earn CC by participating in community chalenges"
So I think this first one will be just the CC.

I honestly hope it's more than just CC. When events like these happen, the price of the event animal is going to go up on the market because people know they can charge more for them and others will still but them if they want to participate in the event at all. Right now, tigers cost several thousand CC for a good pair. If they only reward CC, will they reward enough to cover the cost of tigers you bought? Sure, if they're cooperative and breed well you'll make your CC back on their offspring but that's apparently not always the case. Some don't seem willing to breed, or breed more than once in their lifespan. Hopefully the market does balance out with time and prices go down, as I assume they will, but for the first few events, it might be difficult to justify investing so many CC in animals that may or may not breed often just to win some CC back.

All I know is, I think you'll all like it! :D

I will stay excitedly optimistic. Here's a question though. The ad for the challenge states all participants will get a prize, does one only have to release a single tiger in franchise to be considered a participant or do you have to release at least so many to be eligible for the participation prize?

I can say that the more your participate, the bigger your reward. There's no minimum requirement for the basic reward, but it's definitely worth participating more in!

I should add, the minimum requirement is doing at least one of what the challenge is asking of you, so in this case, breeding at least one Bengal Tiger!

Well, I was going to continue the career mode when I got off work today... sounds like I'll be opening my franchise and seeking out my first tigers instead!

The challenge is still on, correct? Just got home and was off to start my franchise but the main menu in-game now says "No active community challenges." I can't find any news about this so I'm assuming it's still on but... I'm confused. Is the banner on the menu still broken? When I looked at it yesterday it said something about breeding {count} tigers.

It does look like you can recieve animals as gifts, so unoriginal me just assume we'd get free animals as gifts.

... 🤔

These challenges in the future could be really fun ways for the devs to introduce new, free (without DLC) animals. But we'll have to wait and see what they decide to do! I'm torn between wanting to do franchise mode to participate, and waiting for trade center bugs to get ironed out before I start. The struggle is real.

Yes, it’s still on. I think we have 4 days left... but to be honest there hasn’t been a lot of progress. I think Frontier overestimated our ability to breed Tigers because of how fast we did the Lion challenge. Problem is Tigers breed much less, and you can only have one breeding pair per exhibit. So it’s going quite slowly.
I thiibk you can already check the rewards though. Not sure. From the Franchise achievments page, It shows on CC reward, one set of pants, one animal, a hat, and something else.

I think you're spot on.. Firstly getting tigers is pretty expensive but only able to have 1 breeding pair per exhibit is a slow process..
I think it's great that you can also earn CC for Challenge animals being born..(25CC)

that'd be great, if only my tigers would actually BREED -.- i spent all my CC getting them, i have max research on them, and it looks like they're just going to die of old age, childless

Hoping the end participation reward is tiger statue (or an albino tiger). Hopefully not just more CC.

So far I've received a tiger outfit for my avatar (hat, shorts & t-shirt), 3 animals (African Elephant, Indian Rhino & Nyala ) and some CC.
Not sure if there's more rewards - seems like 10 rewards claimed might be the current limit.

Not convinced we will hit the target though - breeding tigers is pretty slow even if you use multiple enclosures.

It doesn't matter what the challenge reward will be when one can't participate in the challenge to begin with. Some players still can't get the game to launch. My issues are animals are disappearing completely from the game. After two days of playing and finally having enough animals breed to where I finally acquired 1400 cc's (which is ridiculously SLOW!!!) I bought a Bengal Tiger with cc's only to have it never appear in the trade center nor animal list. So not only am I now out the cc's for the Tiger I'm out the Tiger itself. Either way I'm screwed out of the possibility of getting the reward. So it doesn't matter what the reward is I'm justifiably upset and disappointed.

I won't have the opportunity to 'like' it because I simply have no way of participating in the challenge because animals birthrates are near non-existent and even when I do save up enough cc's to acquire animals with cc's they completely disappear from the game. I even lost the 500 cc's that were gifted for playing the beta due to having to restart my franchise/zoo due to these issues.

It will depends a lot on how many people actually do the challenge , Its only been going a couple of days and should speed up as more and more get the tigers

This feedback is super useful, thank you. For the first Community Challenge, we played it off the numbers according to the Beta. We can look into adjusting it for future challenges, if this one has been too difficult to attain (which is completely understandable!). We don't know until we try it!

@MaximusSC Have you reported your animal disappearing in the Issue Tracker? I can pass this along to the team, but need to know more about your issue.
