What power do you follow and why?

I'm wondering why some people chose powers, do some of you chose them for weapons/ modules, or do you pick them for the little trade boost. Maybe because you like the way the run there own systems

When Powerplay came out, I liked Mahon. The Alliance really didn't (doesn't!) have much going for it, and I like the Alliance in general. Then I saw how Powerplay doesn't really tie into anything else and lost interest.

None at the moment (is the bug where one's own and 'allied' agents attacks the player fixed yet?), but I usually go with Arissa.
I mainly do bounty hunting, so the bonus to payout is neat. That and I spend most my in pretty far down in Imperial space.
The 'Hammer' railgun is a nice thing to have as well.

None.
Being Attacked every 5 Minutes is a Hassle.
And since anything but Killing Other Powers Ships is not really going to raise your rating thanks to having only 25 tokens per 30 minutes and such funny limits.

Its simply not worth it.

Signed up for the Alliance as I liked their ethos the most and they seem to be the underdog between the three. Not sure what the point was, as I got bored with/didn't really understand the powerplay part of the game. I suppose one advantage was that I got a discount on the Asp Explorer. The Federation and the Empire have cooler ships, too.

None. Basically because Merits decay, and I don't like that. It's like they made it only for people with lots of time to play, and unfortunately I don't have that much time. It's a shame because I'm unable to enjoy a big part of the game.

Looked interesting at first when I first tried the game and knew little, followed Felicia Winters, but lost interest after a few weeks. Glad I'm not with any of them since all the interdiction crap you have to endure nowadays.

Emperor Arissa Lavigny-Duval, because she is the true emperor and only power worth following.

Also imperial hammers are sweet and I may or may not have been won over by seeing them in combat.

Pranav Antal all the way!

Why? Small group - you get to know everyone. It's friendly - we aren't there to rule the galaxy (but if we must we will). We're the only faction that truly outlaws slavery. We are all about having FUN! Which is why we've had campaigns in places like Sothis, and now Maia!

/r/EliteAntal for more info!

Oh, and Antal Enforcers? dakkadakkadakkadakkadakkadakkadakka!

It just happened a few days ago that I asked my own butt what it thinks about joining some power. You know, could be good for something. It farted.

Well, tbh I just made the "mistake" to join the Fed's early in the game, to figure out what PP is good for and thought, Winters seemed to be a nice old lady.I sometimes just do silly decisions for their own sake and I've played a sinister, elitist goofball for too long before and wanted to do it just the other way around this time. I tried to help a little bit but then gave up given that it doesn't align with my own playing interests at the moment. This might change in some future.

Before Zemina because of trade dividends, now Duval,i want that prism. shields,1week remaining, after that im out of pp for sometime.

None, unfortunately this was another Hodge podge idea that failed massively. Content Management doors this way use it....

Miss blue bubblegum!

Why: Pretty face, Prismatic shield and I am an incognito Federal Agent destroying the Empire from within. :)
I first saw PP as a Money source so I pledged to earn the 50mil which was a work but I have done it.

After discovering you can't move a thing in PP by design and the BG sim was not working I left ED for longer.
Now that I am back I am still pledged to her but more on paper. Not playing PP anymore.

I wanted to unpledge several time but I am not sure if I still need new prismatic shield. So I went out side of the Color bubbles where I can do my Business (moving small fractions, BGSim) without haveing to deal with the anyoing PP NPC's.

They should consider to Change the PP mechanics the way that a PP can grow close to infinit and smaller powers become eleminated instead the ever balanced System where no PP can really get anywhere. Also there should be wars. Not just Cargo so and so Magazine somewhere or destroy some ships in anothers PP System.

I follow the power of Comrade Napoleon. He is righteous, reliable and has never let me down. He is there for me when I am in a tight spot, and even when he is outnumbered, he has always got a word of consolation for me. Good ol' Napoleon.
He might not be a power for you though.
;)

Cheers Cmdr's
