What price level of ship do you feel is most needed?

Which ship price tier should Fdev concentrate development on?

The price of the FDL and Vulture are getting players talking about ship pricing. To me, they cost what they cost no point to complain. I have played a while now, I have a whopping (to me) networth of 35mil.

I am wondering what the general player census on where you feel fdev should concentrate their efforts when creating new ships. Do you feel its more important to add high or low end ships to the game at this time?

The starter ships include:
Sidey (starter multirole) free
Hauler (starter trading) 40k
Eagle (starter combat) 25k
Adder (starter multirole) 90k

Low-range price ships
Viper (low combat) 125k
Cobra (low multirole) 350k
Type 6 (mid-low trading) 1.1mil

Midrange ships
Asp (low-mid multirole) 6.6mil
Type-7 (mid trader) 17mil
Clipper (mid multirole) 22mil
Fed dropship (mid lol role)
Orca (mid lol role) 38mil

Highend ships are
FDL (highend combat?) 102mil
Python (highend multirole) 51mil
Type-9 (highend trading) 99mil
Anaconda (highend multirole) 125mil

I dont remember the exact prices so don't crucify me about that.

I am almost halfway through the mid-tier of ships but I definetly feel like the game needs more small ships. Even if just for variety to see while going about. New players would probably love that as well.

Well just looking at the prices, there's a heck of a large gap between the T-6 (1.1mill) and the Asp (6.6mill), so I think there should be some sort of ship in the middle of that range.
Also, just above that the next one up is a T-7 (17mill) which once again is almost 3x as much as the Asp - maybe something around the 10mill mark?

Oh yeah we definetly need at least a few ships in there, that entire range from Cobra to Type-7 is just crazy.

We either need a rebalancing/spreading of the costs of the ships, or there needs to be ways for non-traders to earn the money for the more expensive ships. Right now trade is the only profession that scales, leaving combat way behind and explorers and miners paupers as they have been since the game came out.

I'd personally like to see ship variants.. Maybe a Cobra MKII with less hardpoints, but could take a larger FSD.

From a lore perspective you really don't want a Cobra MK II - they melt ;) Now the Mk I would be a nice addition to the low end. :)

For a bounty hunter, the gap between the Cobra and the ASP, and then the ASP to anything else is similar to the HUGE void of space itself, and it is kind of depressing.

Of course I agree non-traders need more cash flow particularly scaling. At same time though I feel thats more dealing with a symptom of lack of a large variety of sub 5 million credit lower-end ships rather then dealing with the cause.
