What ship do you have planned for multicrew?

Hello all.

It won't take too long for 2.3 to hit live and I was wondering what is people ship of choice to use in MC.

I will play with my brother and a friend, and since they are fairly new to the game they don't have the credits to get a ship with enough firepower to play the three of us at the same time.

I was planning on gearing my Gunship with four turreted burst lasers for the gunner and a fighter bay for the other player while I use the large and small hardpoints for forward fire. Does it sound fun to you if you were to man the turrets? Burst lasers sound good or should I choose another type of weapon? Should I go full turrets while I pilot the ship and ram them to death?

Regards.

I bought a Cutter a while back. Primarily as a bulk trader for CGs and such.

Its shields are pretty good (for the moment) and I put Turrets on all but two of the hardpoints. I have three Turret size 2 MC, two turret size 3 burst lasers, one gimbal size 4 MC and one gimbal size 2 beam.

I will try out Multi-crew when 2.3 comes out. Based on the videos of the beta that I've watched, I'm not sure if I'll do it much. I enjoy flying fighters(FdL, Vulture, etc) over cruisers(conda/vette). I imagine the Cutter will not be fun.

Go full turrets! Then you'll have the fun of trying to follow their vague, shouted instructions about which direction to fly :)
"No! no, the other left"

First: gunship currently has only two seats, so you wont be able to play it with two other player at the same time
second: Adder... i am planning my first MC experience to be in an adder :D

Personally, after spending all this time in the helm, I'd like to sit in the 2nd chair of the Asp, get a different POV.

None. I refuse to trust the hull of a ship i own to anyone but me. Myself and VAC are perfectly capable of handling any combat situation that might arise.

Well, this just crushed my plans :( After doing a quick google search it seems the only ships to use with three CMDRs are the Three Big, the T9 and the Beluga. Since I don't really feel like using any of the big three I guess we will just go exploring on the Beluga.

Damn it.

I am just going to whack my two beam turrets back on my Python for multi-crew. But honestly, I foresee myself being crew on my friend's "Big 3" ships, more than hosting a crew on my Python. I don't intend to open up multi-crew to randoms.

Dry runs : Keelback
- permit MC members to setup Controls (which will take alot of time) and get comfy with all basic functions and limitations

Hot runs : Corvette, later possibly a Cutter

Personal interest in joining as a "Teleporting CMDR Q" magic Crewmember-on-demand : NIL

same as above... keelback is a single seater

Can't you fit turrets and fighters on the Beluga?

You can, but it will feel weird going to a CZ or a RES with it. It would be like going to the atlantic ocean to sink U-boats with the Titanic.

None, 3rd person combat and handwavium implementation is for another genre, not the one I play.

Please. I also have my issues with some of the MC mechanics, but let's keep this on topic just for once.

Sure thingy buddy

I change my answer to None :)

Think of it as more like a Q-ship (and hope they do too :) )

...and wasn't the Titanic unsinkable? Sounds like the perfect weapon [wink]

All my ships will be open for tag along if someone wants to sit there and watch.
I have a few ships for HazRes, Conda, FDL, Vulture. But i dont HasRes that often as it gets dull.

I have a friend in Colonia at the moment so i might jump into his ship for some exploration and he hasnt seen the Alien ruins around the bubble so he can join me for some sight seeing. Then i imagine the novelty will run dry.

Better than combat, Back Seat Driving!
"You're going the wrong way, it's quicker the other way".
"Why didn't you shoot him, I told you you should shoot him".
"Didn't I tell you to re-fill the ammo before we set off".
"We could have visited that nice station, but nooo you had to go to the RES site again. Now look what's happened".

... Eject crew member [mad]
