What ships do you have stationed around Colonia?

So many people have not been to Colonia or have any ships there, others have actually moved all their ships there and base out of Colonia only. My question is for those like me who have ships in both and travel back and forth from time to time. What ships do you have station in Colonia and for what purpose?

I have a passenger Python, a mining Python and my Exploration AspX and soon to be my combat FAS. My Anaconda is my shuttle ship between the Colonia zone and the Bubble.

Just curious what others have stationed in Colonia area?

I have a Cobra Mk IV nicely set up for mining and exploration, and an Eagle for bounty hunting, but it's too costly to bring them home.

I came in my Exploration AspX, the Curious Rabbit, and am currently flying around in a Python, the Honey Badger, for trading. I also have an Anaconda, the Support Ticket, at Jacques Station. I bought it "for science" to see what would happen, when at one point a glitch made it possible to buy Anacondas at Dervish Platform which is far to small to support ships of that size. The ship name reveals the result of that experiment :)

I just arrived in my asp explorer 'raspy', I bought a hauler for CG combat but it didn't last long, now I have a viper mk 3.
would like an FDL but the outfitting ain't so good here.
My main ships are back at founders world in the bubble, too costly to bring them over, so parked up for the moment.

FWIW, had an engineered Cobra III transferred after I had finally arrived at Jaques (in a Conda, this April), planning to visit it around Xmas.

O7,

Yes outfitting kind of sucks, and this is why I'm outfitting everything A rated in the Bubble and fully engineering them then transferring them. Not the cheapest thing, but I'll deal with it. Not going to bother shipping my FDL or Corvette over though. That would be too much overkill in transfer cost...

I just left and I am now headed back to the bubble. Took my Orca to see if staying there for a while would be worth it and to consider xfering other ships.

Didn't see anything worthwhile to motivate me to stay and spend the money to move more ships out there, so I'm heading back where I have other ships to fly and access to Engineers. I just didn't see any reason to spend a few hundred million cr to move a few of my favorite rides out there. It would have taken too long to recover the shipping costs.

Maybe I missed something.

I left my first Python in Ratraii when I came back to the core in my DBX last week (just before the CG, dammit!). Was able to buy another one with the exploration data proceeds, though :)

I think some are predicting more action and opportunities there down the road. So, but yes there really isn't a whole lot other than some great pristine rings and such if you are into mining. This is kind of why I asked this question to see if there is a reason why some people are moving everything over there and not bothering to come back to the Bubble as I've heard. I just figure I have more than enough credits, so why not do it and see if something comes from it down the road..

Nothing. No reason to go there. Plus it's an extremely long trip, and frankly making extremely long trips like this are nothing but tedium mixed with a whole lot of nothing to do.
Maybe by late 3.0 making such a trip will actually be interesting. If not, than perhaps by the end of 4.0, and if not, by the end of season 10. And if not then, then I'll likely never make the trip.

I bought and spec'd a B-rated sidewinder while I was out there. I was so tired of my Anaconda I wanted to get out and bounty hunt in something more agile.

I left it out there when I was done. Parked at Jaques. Not sure if I'll ever see it again.

I named it.... "No pay for ship xfer"

:)

I flew my corvette out there for the CG using lots and lots of neutron stars (my vette was collecting dust in the bubble). Now anytime a combat CG pops up in Colonia I'll have a ship ready to go, and I can fly my DBX there as a taxi in just a few hours.

In the unlikely event my home station gets destroyed by Thargoids, I'll have one engineered ship left. I don't envision that scenario, however.

Almost everything I own in the game is in and around colonia...all the bubble is useful fer is shopping fer decent gear. The game I play doesnt require my presence in it fer much more than a few days at a time fer which I am truly thankful.

From memory ships wise, thats 2 DBE, one exploration only and the other setup fer smuggling. Asp ex, couple cobras, dolphin and a python project setup fer exploration only. Im currently in a T9 in and around sag A with enough credits to buy any ship I want and fully A rate it, and then transfer the parts out.

Fer the now, colonia is my only home in this game...so I base everything I have there ^

I have a Viper 3 in Colonia.

I arrived in my Sidey and, at the time, it was pretty-much the only shooty ship you could buy there.

I'd rather drink myself into delirium and feel three days ill afterwards before I'd do the jump animations 1000 times over and over again.

I did the journey to Colonia with cargo for my faction once. Otherwise I wouldn't have gone at all [big grin]
Now I'm too lazy to go back so I've transferred 2 cheap ships (Vulture,Cobra) to do other stuff in Colonia.. it's not too bad, we've got CZ and RES here. TV is the same BBC1, BBC2, ITV, Sky News etc. :x
